so ive been using the rm zyggos, 20 quid a shot, the metal plate that sits in the float that the stem attatches to by magnets has cone off,....everything they do is either made poorly, fales to do what its supposed to do,expensive rebadged temu stuff or just breaks.....theyve got to be one of the worse company's out there after omc surely.
yes ive re glued the plates back on but who knows if it will hold, and it ****ed up a session when they broke.....rm stuff is *****

I have got their beaked point hooks and they are excellent.

The hooks are good. The original bivvy light with magnetic bar was good before I lost it. The small folding pan where the handles clip off and store inside is good. The original water bottles with taps were good. Their braided mainline is good. Quite like their bucket and the crusher is good. Their H blocks are good.

Also leave the action station base clamp permanently on my Porter lite to hold phone for self takes if needed

XL Sandwich toaster. Cook everything in mine.
Majority things I have bought from them have been spot on. The boillie crusher and choppa slicer both really good. Their nite glo scissors and multi tool is fantastic. Love the VRH300x torch its battery lasts forever. The xl toaster pan as mentioned very good. Cant think of anything I have actually bought of theirs that was of bad quality. I made the mistake of buying ther xf2 tent with extension back in the day thing weighed more than my car but the quality was very good
Must say my OG Sandwich skillet is still going strong. Back when they were just reboxed product from the far east.
And my square bucket is that good I struggle to get the lid of with out drawing blood.
That's about as far as I've got with Ridge Monkey products. I know they had a few issues with there square stoves when they first come out.

Lights - Bivvy Lite Elite IR & Multi Lite Plus both decent
Hunter 750 - great little lightweight boat for small ponds / canals
Kettle - 0.5L square kettle with paracord handle
Thermal Mug - large cups of T that stay hot
Compact 7.5L bucket with inserts (ideal barbel bashing bucket)

Dont get a new bivvy light from them then,they are utter *****.The new Fox pans are better than rm and so is the fox strip light.The remote actually works on the fox from feet away not centimeters.Only thing I like of rm is choppa,crusha,hooks are ok but still prefer atomic tackle hooks

I've just won a bid for a RM RT HUNTER 750 BAIT BOAT good price and it works although yet to try it is it any good just for 2/3 acre lakes and an island to get to on another
Also liked the Bivvy light (think it was the first one they made)

My two toastie makers have been great
Buckets (small square and large one with two trays inside) are good but i think the lids are prone to falling off mine.
Crusher is fantastic
Boilie cutter is very good
First generation of hooks they did were great (not used them for a few years)
Dont rate the coated hooklink

The Boilie Crusher and the Cutter are both really useful bits of kit, I've recently started using the Sinking Braid after being recommended it by a mate, seems good so far.
I did have one of the collapsible buckets that I used for everything, baiting up, water for fish, rubbish bin etc etc but I've used it that much I wore a hole in it.
Got a couple of different versions of the Head Torches, the larger one although bulky was very good but the elastic strap has lost its stretch now so only gets used at home, i think they're good torches though, I like the green option.
I did have one of the Bivvy Lights that I used in the back of my Van, this packed up fairly quickly so I got a Trakker one which I think is better, more compact and has quite a nice Orange Light that I find less obtrusive them the white light.
Think that's it though, most of the gear they do looks cheap and nasty IMO so I haven't bothered with it and I definitely wouldn't be using their hooks and other bits of end tackle.

I use their 35lb hooklink material and think it's brilliant albeit I do strip off the coating.
The majority of my fishing is on the French rivers or big public waters and I can honestly say it has never let me down.

One of their power packs melted in his van, his quad stoves very nearly set fire to his bivvy, and his hunter bait boat loves leaking and having tovbe blown into the bank
To be fair, their hooks and line are ok but I think the hooks are ace hooks and the line is ultima line, so they aren't their products anyway

One of the seals on one of my water carriers started to leak after a few years and I contacted them. They carry spares and the after sales service was excellent.

Their MK1 versions of a lot of products have had notorious issues in the past. You have to wonder how/where they get their stuff made. As for the terminal tackle, it's alright I suppose. Hooks are Hooks and their supplier probably makes a dozen other companies hooks.
It's their original items which seems to fail. I admire any company willing to be innovative, but not when a higher than comfortable percentage have to be replaced due to unforeseen design issues within months of release.
There's plenty of companies out there that make gear that just works. Have read way too much and seen way too much from them that makes me avoid their products.
As consumers, we seem to be one of the only industries which keep buying sub par products, then buy their products again despite all the previous issues. If you had an absolute mare with a Samsung telly, I doubt you'd be rushing out to buy another, yet we seem to be happy to buy 2nd or 3rd versions of product which sits motionless on the bank two dozen times a year.

waterproofs - incredible quality, comfy, lightweight and extremely waterproof.
curve shank hooks - reliable, durable, mega sharp
thermal mug - one of the best I've ever had

I rate the line control arm they sell for use when baitboating out. I heard bad reports on this when it was first released but can't for the life of me think why. It works brilliantly with 12/14000 size spools in my experience.
The choppa is also a good bit of kit too.

Their Ape-X hooks seem decent. I recently got one of the compact buckets with the insert for short sessions, which I really like.

I bought the "10 litre water container" years ago, it leaked from around the large filler cap, the only way to stop it was screw it down as tight as possible. Problem was, when it came to refilling it, it was far harder to try and screw the cap off than screw it down tight to stop it leaking.
GOOD
Power Packs: Had the original black one for years, still going strong
Headtorch: Like the design. It swivels up/down and on/off on top/bottom so you can put it on either way in the dark and the buttons where you expect it. Recently bought the newer/rounder version from TFT (despite having nearly every other headtorch known to man) as I like the simplicity.
Kettle: Not a lot to go wrong with it
Toasters: Not a lot to go wrong with them
Water carriers: Not a lot to go wrong, but NGT / TEMU do the same/cheaper
Original Bivvy light: Still works but I got the same thing off BangGood posted from china 10+years ago for a tenner

USB Heated Gas Cover: Worked quite well last winter for using up gas bottles. Uses a fair bit of power pack (especially when I forget to flick switch off)
Hooks: Only used a couple years ago, seemed very aggressive and sharp. I believe Angling Spirit bought the rights to the ACE hook patterns, not RidgeMonkey.

Quad Stove Pro: The piezo lighter is *****, doesn't work from brand new, had 2 replacements, none have worked. Block at top leaked gas on one of them. One of the leg's didn't fold under on one, bloke in their support said that was part of design (but it folded on the next 2 I had!?)
Perspective water bucket: Mine was cracked from brand new. Only realised as I lifted it to gently pour water on a mates fish for photo and the leak pissed water out sideways and got him wet in winter :(
