So are you saying this model is potentially a risky purchase? Really want a small van with a bit of offroad capability and not a low-rider gangster Caddy!

Would get the recall / 8mm chain clarity sorted before any Adblue delete . . .

My understanding of Adblue (like silly start / stop) is generally simply to get a derv vehicle to Euro 6 emission standards. . .its not an MOT fail as its not checked?

Assume you haven't removed rear seats to barrow in/out?

How do you mitigate the chain issue on used vehicles (other than checking regular service intervals etc?) Did you have a recall on yours that you utilised? As for the Adblue - def sounds like a delete is required!

Thanks Vossy - those were the model years I've been looking at! These have a bigger internal space than standard SWB Caddies so reckon the worst would be removing barrow handles before strapping down etc . . another feature (as you've highlighted) are the drop down seats in the back of the bulkhead so 13' rods should be zero issues and negate the need for a LWB variant . . . I'm doing more river fishing than carping atm so my X5 more than does the job . . .however its more the spring summer carping where its a pain (loading/unloading) so if the Peugeot 'Grip' version does both carp and river adventures adequately my Chelsea tractor will remain gangster fresh and not smell of old nets etc . . !

Have looked at Transporters in 4Motion but they're too big for my current needs - have 3x kid-adults who refuse to leave home so no room on the drive for large motors! Maybe one for the future (a conversion project) once they've stopped draining my retirement funds . . .

Being looking for the ideal small van / dedicated fishing machine but LWB 4Motion Caddies are expensive and rare as rocking horse

Vehicle needs to be big enough to ramp a barrow on and off / take 13' rods occasionally but also have relative off road performance (muddy fields basically) for my river fishing requirements . . .

Have narrowed search down to a standard (rather than L2/LWB) Peugeot Partner 1.5HDi 'Grip' which is still FWD but has enhanced traction control (multiple settings eg. mud/snow etc) and reviews confirm that with decent cross climate tyres it works pretty well under load and on adverse surfaces etc . . .(there's a vid of one driving up an indoor ski slope etc)

Anyone use one of these for either work / fishing with real-world experience in terms of reliability etc? 🙏
