My new water is exactly the same all the lads use boats. I've stuck to my guns and fished old school over a spread of boilies in open water. It took a while but I'm now catching as well as the lads on the boats. I've noticed they are all using gps boats and dropping to the exact same spots trip after trip under overhangs etc even when those spots start to dry up. I feel lots of lads have become lazy and are so set in their ways using the boat all the time that me being different is really starting to pay dividends.

It's a shame but according to Young's it was either that or go under so I suppose they had no choice.

I find some of his stuff interesting and yes he's caught lots of big fish but he does like the sound of his own voice lol. The other thing is he tells a tale and in different podcasts the details of the same story differ as soon as you hear that you think well what's the truth and how much do I believe.

I used to do the same on the Severn, go down on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon after the matches and fish a big lump of meat down the edge it caught me 100s of barbel.

Yep as soon as you fish with a mate stealth and quiet has gone. Sitting together sharing a brew while putting the world to rights is something we all enjoy and like everyone else I have days like this with old mates but it doesn't help your fishing especially in the edge.

Done the pop ups did my head in 😂😂😂
