A marshall at a bcac match showed me a video of him doing this about 5 years ago so he's obvs been doing it for a long time.

does it to get away from carnage of the rave scene no doubt,
probably more so because skibbas passing , (rip), ..
iv been going raving since the 90s allot of dnb events and never merged the 2 together like blasting out dnb and spray paining my bivvy etc and necking a few Es , its nice to get away from all that and enjoy the peice of the outdoors

I read that on FB as well. Something of nothing to be honest, Mark said he thinks it puts anglers in a bad light and is a bit embarrassing, Leon didn't like that and called him out on it. Not seen if there has been anything else from that

This guy is in a high profile role at Shimano, and whatever you might think about the content of the video, it is completely wrong to post something like that, and he should know better. I think Leon Bartropp does a good job of explaining why in his video response.
Carp fishing is getting pathetic because everyone has an opinion on everything, everyone takes everything way too seriously and social media gives everyone the ability to let the contents of their head spill out into the public domain all too easily. If you don't like something, just move on and put your energy into something you do like. It's evident in this thread, in the bait threads, in the OMC threads, in pretty much every section of the forum; there's a vindictive streak running through so many of our fellow anglers and it's this that brings our hobby into disrepute. If everyone were a bit more tolerant and accepting of one another then you would see an incredible transformation; I'm not going to hold my breath though.

Personally think he's sounding a bit like an old fart . . .two carp anglers taking the p*ss out of today's yoof and having a laugh at the same time - I'm sure both Leon and Muzza don't believe they're in any way hip for an instant however they are probably subconsciously trying to appeal to the youth market and at the same time amuse those that are aware of such twaddle (I'm 51 and obvs down with the kids) . . .harmless bit of fun - does it affect anyone's fishing - no - so leave it and move on . . .

Exactly this. Avoid big fish day tickets and ditch social media and carp fishing isn't much different than 20 years ago if you find the right lake.
