I had to drop my ticket this season so happy to answer any questions. Loved my time on there and wish my circumstances hadn't changed to force me to drop it

I've fished lakes with a lot of crays in the past and did ok with match the hatch hard hookers most of the time. Occasionally I would reel in without a bait but this was the exception. Plastic baits and tigers are good alternatives if needed. Fishmeal baits and tungsten components on your rig both seem to attract them so may be worth bearing this in mind. As weather cools though you are far less likely to have any issues but have some of the above as back up if needed

The only 2 of those I've used are Cell and S7. Cell catches fish, that fact can't be disputed. S7 is a great bait, I have used in the past and if I need to change from my current bait I will almost certainly go to DNA and use S7 again. You get the benefit of the package deals as well to make it more affordable which is a bonus

Sad to hear but selfishly glad I didn't take up my ticket this year due to personal circumstances changing

I haven't bought a magazine in many years as like you've already said, the content was getting very repetitive and stale and there were more ads than articles. Shame as I used to loce getting them, Carp Talk and Carpworld are the 2 I miss the most.
Being honest I'm finding the same with books. I really got into collecting angling books a few years ago and got a decent collection but not seen one I've wanted in a couple of years. To be honest some of the ones I bought before that I found a tough read, so it sadly feels like the written word is dying.

My Advanta one does the job nicely. Can't remember the model but was less than £100 and lasted me a good few years now and still gping strong so it lasts as well

Shame Bert and Liam have left as for me and my son they genuinely made the trip, Bert was great giving my boy a bike for the week and a float rod and some bread to have a dabble in the stock pond when it got quiet from the Wednesday as fish started a bit of spawning. Hopefully the new guys settle
