The problem I find is that with the boat moving, I am never sure I am taking the same spot. Using a marker can cause all sorts of problem!

Yeah, we all have different experiences don't we? I had 2 x 6000 INC with the very common anti-reverse failure. Buy cheap, buy twice - in my opinion.

Just get Daiwa or Shimano; anything else and you will invariably end up buying again.
