I'll be honest I'm not really a fan of the camo but then again I'm not a fan of camo full stop, the trench coat with the fur inside does look warm for the winter though. Not sure I'd want to wear it fishing when it's raining the fur will get soaked and take ages to dry

UK Jungle Camouflage was ok for years, and fitted in well with most UK environments, but the latest MTP is more for the Iraq/Syrian/Afghan rocky terrain I think. Note, I think

I'm still happy with olive green trousers, black top and then decent jacket. I often wear a standard grey zip top fleece.
I do have full sets, MTP, jungle camouflage 1995, trousers and jackets, and you MUST NEVER mix and match.

MTP is a multi cam that is for multi theatre use, it's not been designed solely for desert or mountain type situations. MTP can and is used in the European theatre and elsewhere.

Yes I do wear plain olive green combat trousers and occasionally with a camouflage top jacket dependant on the weather.

I think you're right about the MTP pattern standing out. I don't think it was really designed for the European region, more like the green zone areas in Afghanistan and the likes as that's more like where s4it is likely to get real, not Europe as cheeky as the Frenchies get 👍

I spent 22 years dressed in cammo in the Army. Once out I felt no great urge to wear it anymore. I have one item and that is my DPM Goretex waterproof jacket. When it gives up the ghost I'll replace it with a green one. I never wear it off the bank. My ferry clothes are trainers, jeans, black Polo shirt and a snugpack lightweight zipper jacket in green. I don't find taking off a pair of jeans and jacket on arrival at the lake a great chore, and I don't find wearing a pair of jeans particularly ‘dressing up' for a ferry trip. On the journey both to and from the lake we drop in various pubs either to pick up people or for a drink and I prefer to be in ‘civvies' in these establishments as well as ferries.
Even if I did wear cammo I would still take a set and take them off on arrival as I don't really want to sit on a ferry or in a pub in 7 day old fezzing clothes covered in fish slime on the return trip. Just me. As I said we have differing viewpoints, no problems for me.
Out of interest my fishing clothes are as follows:
Hot weather - green or brown shorts, black polo shirt, dark coloured trainers, black or green hoody as it cools down in the evening.
Temperate/cool - German army green moleskin trousers ( incredibly hard wearing and soft and comfy) black polo shirt, black or green hoody. Add Snugpack green shirt/jacket as required. Same trainers or Matterhorn boots as required.
Winter. German army moleskin trousers, green Norwegian artic shirt, greenNorwegian army artic woolly Pully, green Trakker or Hally Hanson puffer jacket. Aqua green salopettes and thermal wellies or Matterhorn boots as required.
Summer
