I have kissed fish in the long distant past, but probably grew out of it rather than any other reason, now it's a rarity, pictures and get it back.

As for the bucket soaking, personally childish jinks, and I am glad that I normally fish alone.

Mate, You are welcome.

I ordered mine yesterday while fishing, arrived today when I got back.

I'm slightly different, I leave the used one in my rucksack, and put a fresh canister in as soon as I get home, so I do have the two in there. If the used canister is still quite full, I do Sharpie mark it so I know which is which.

I normally end up going onto the second canister on day 4 of a 5 day session.

40lb Greased Weasel or Amnesia to braid for me.

I have a nice collection of retrieved marker floats, spods and Spombs attached to a short length of braided line...

To be honest, I think that that is what carp fishing has become, whether UK or foreign with some venues just wanting to be the World Record or UK record Holders, and loads of fish caught.

It's almost become soulless, unless you can find your own piece of heaven.

Monster Carp is better without Ali Hamidi, but I think that it needs a longer break, or even calling time, it's becoming soulless itself, just a search for 75lb or bigger fish, which is possibly why Tom Dove looked bored.

I guess I'll watch it on catch-up simply because there is so little fishing on TV.

Aidey,
Sadly Google analytics has been changed. Older threads or even posts do not show up on Google, or drop down the search finds, even with new posts added.

I've had to go through another forum and remove goodness knows how many posts from the database.

I must admit that I am not a Ridgemonkey or Cobb fan, everything I cook is pretty much done with saucepan and frying pan and camping stuff is not good enough, it's too flimsy, doesn't hold heat and cooks unevenly, so my frying pan is a proper carbon steel, stainless handled pan, that I got in the 1990's. Camping cooking stuff is fine for boil in the bag, army ration pack pot noodle meals, but for decent cooking...

The Ridgemonkey may make omelette easier than I could in the frying pan, or cook bacon both sides all together, but to be honest, I'm happy cooking as I would at home, or for the hotel or restaurant at work, and I'm pretty good with that.

That Neville ball peg means you don't need back rests at all!

Very unfashionable...

I've still got original Solar stainless U rests and a tie wrap on my rod butt's, which serves 2 purposes:

A 'finger lock' when casting, and to stop the rod being pulled forward.
Are you sure?

This action cannot be undone.

Yes, continue
