I never tie rigs in advance just can't be bothered and don't feel the need to
Knotless knot and mono hooklink for bottom baits which takes seconds to tie and maybe a hinged stiff rig for pop ups if I'm feeling extravagant
I used to tie all sorts of rigs then realised we always used to catch on simple rigs so went back that way and haven't caught any less fish.
I guess if you enjoy prep that's fine but not necessarily necessary
Horses for courses though and good job we are all different or the world would be a very boring place!

I was wondering if anyone could help me
I'm looking for a lightweight bedchair but one that you can actually raise and use as a chair if need be like you used to be able to do. I know when you do this and fold the leg end back they aren't always that comfy but not overly bothered about that.
Most now seem to be fold flat only.
I've got a long walk on the river and trying to lighten the load as much as poss
Thanks

I would have to agree. I've never fished anywhere that I can't get banksticks in and I do scratch my head when I see great big pods set when the banks are very soft.
There may be a reason for using tripods that I have missed but I can't fathom it and I've no wish to carry any more kit than I need

I bought some a couple of years ago and one of them does exactly the same. Did it pretty much from new but I didn't get around to doing anything about it
If the handle is still with anti reverse on it won't backwind but if it's moving forward you can then backwind straight from that with anti reverse on if that makes sense
Not an age or dirt thing on mine perhaps a design fault or common issue?

One lake I fish is full of them and hard hookers/tigers only last a few hours.
I've used the ESP plastic boilies on a hinged stiff rig and they seem to do the trick for me. Bait up with anything (boilies/pellets etc but just do it regularly and leave the hookbaits out)
I guess it depends how many there are on the lake you are fishing

Funny you should say that but we we all have differing opinions
I personally think SS3000s are rubbish and the Okuma reels are streets ahead
I'm getting too old to care what anyone else thinks and laugh at the millennials paying silly money for reels that were made before they were born
Having said all that if I was young I would probably be the same. It was Mitchell 300's when I started but SS3000s are definitely better than them!
