I had 3 new rods off them 2 weeks ago with no issue. One needed replacing as it arrived broken but they resolved it quickly.
I think they are using email and Facebook more than the phone lines, hope you get sorted quickly!

Hi mate, I have had a recent order from them, it was an absolute shambles to be honest, not to mention the terrible service ,but everything eventually turned up.

As you are probably aware all communication is via email, which can be slow, never managed to get any replies through facebook.

They say on their site dispatch is within 24hours of order, but it took 4 days for my full order to be dispatched/confirmed,and about the same again for delivery.

Hopefully you will get sorted soon

Well at least I know they have received my order and assume it will turn up at some point next week 🤣

often end up buying from them via e-bay, to be honest I have never had an issue with the speed of service, i dont know whether they lean towards the e-bay side as buyers can claim very quickly for poor service

I've had 2 orders from them in the last 10 days or so and both times I've had the delivery within 2-3 days. I use them for most of my online purchases and haven't had any real issues, one time the box was a bit battered and an item missing but emailed and explained, about a week later had a replacement (took a bit longer as I had the last one in stock so they had to order in a replacement)

Good luck, my Mrs ordered me one of the new Nash Ruckalls, ordered one November, granted the distributer was late, was told December. December passed heard nothing, Mrs emailed them in Jan, it'll be 2 weeks. February came around, Mrs wanted a refund as I could
Get one dispatched from YAC I think it was the same day, asked for a refund, no sorry, no nothing. I would rather pay £5-10 postage then use them ever again. A shambles.

Me too. My one issue was initially my fault as I forgot to update my work address and then Yodel refused to change delivery address. TfT offered to send replacement reels out after a week or so of toing and froing with Yodel which I couldn't argue with. Every other order has been delivered fine and communication is far better than Angling Direct in my experience

Never had an issue with them but also haven't ordered anything significant this year from them. Just odds and sods of terminal tackle. As mentioned via eBay they are always very good.

I think they are a great company....
I bought two Emblem 25a BR reels...they sent two Castizms.
I bought a Matrix Rod Holdall.......a week later they sent another one.

I would buy from sellers like that all day long

Ordered a cradle last Wednesday, arrived on the Friday. They are not great at telling you when things are dispatched etc, but in my experience they always turn up pretty swiftly.

They are also generally better than companies like AD on price. Frankly I have had far more issues with AD on orders than TFT.

weeks ago I pre ordered and PAID for a brolly and all the extras

Now I KNOW for an absolute fact that the supplier delivered the brollys and extras to them

and yet STILL THEY HAVENT sent them seems they havent got their priority's sorted out could not organise a piss up in a brewery

cant be arsed to have the phones manned so use covid as an excuse very slow to answer emails that they often dont seem to even read properly
just a real shame I could not have ordered it from a decent company like England Angling

they deliver the Ebay orders promptly as the feedback would show if they didnt clearly that bothers them tossers

Hi, I've placed 2 orders with them in the past month both substantial in value they both arrived within 5 days, I did message about one order and have had no response.

So their customer service seems terrible but items are getting shipped

Yes i agree. I managed to get one very short blunt response and luckily my parcel came in good time. I can see if it hadn't then it would of been a real struggle to get hold of them.
My parcel was a baiting pole, when it came the box was smashed up, torn and had big holes in it. How the baiting pole was all ok I will never know but I can see it would of been a nightmare getting it sorted if it was damaged.
The delivery driver actually apologised at the state of it and took photos him self while waiting for me to make sure it was all OK.

All I will say is the biggest bag of ***** of all time.

Dont ever place an order on pre order you will never see it but you will then see it in stock elsewhere.

I think they have lost a lot of priority from their suppliers, Johnson Ross for me.

I will never ever spend a £1 there ever again

I must be one of the lucky ones I've shopped with them for years, I have spent at least £3000/£4000 with them in the last year alone for several different orders and all turned up no problem, never had a problem with there pre order either always got mine without anything going wrong (most likely just jinxed myself 🤣

I'm very surprised to see this thread. I've obviously been one or the lucky ones.

I have never had a problem with them. My orders have always been correct and arrived promptly.

As for customer service I've never had to phone them but I have emailed them in the past to make enquiries and always had a response within 24-48 hours.

When did you order?

I ordered something on Friday, and it's coming tomorrow. Four working days with a bank holiday in there is fine by me.

I suppose if you need something urgently, go to a tackle shop. If you're ordering online because it's more convenient and you're taking advantage of some hefty discounts and sale prices.....then you're just going to have to sit and suffer.

Has the order been shipped yet ?

Once it's been shipped they provide you with a tracking number which is usually with Yodel.

From there you can track the delivery. If your having trouble with delay once it's been shipped I would give Yodel a call.

Always had a decent service from them. Only issue ive ever had was a manufacturing fault on my solar bed chair, went around the houses for a day, but it did get sorted and they swapped it no problem. All my orders have always turned up as expected, or even quicker in some cases. And prices are always pretty good

Waiting for two orders one from these. Apologies we are really busy and short staffed with covid and trying our hardest to get orders out.

Second one with dangling erect. We've sent it but having problems with postman pat. But the dumb fvcks give you a tracking number. And it has no movement for four days.

Then last night postman pat says he has it and will deliver it today.

As usual I'll deal with one company and only use the other when no one else has stock and they do.

Being honest gets my vote every day.

Keep up the good work Total Fishing Tackle.

If they've given you a tracking number then it's with the post service so nothing they can do other than let you know that it's a delay on the part of the post office - which it seems they've done. Hardly dumb ****s for giving you the correct information....

It's well known that the post office is struggling with staffing just like other industries

Every company I've ordered from online have said that delivery times could be affected due to royal mail / courier having these issues.

I would have thought that anybody in any sort of business would be aware that there is an issue with shipping at the moment. Combine that with staff shortages and the Christmas break and you're on a different planet to expect standard service. In normal times I would be the first to condone cr*p service, but we need to cut these guys a bit of slack.

If you're desperate for something then the only answer is to pick up the phone and check stock, then jump in the car and drive. I read somebody on here saying that was impossible as it was a 40 mile round trip What's that; 45 mins drive there and back?! Hardly the Dhaka rally is it.

That doesn't make sense. They'd only get a tracking number once its given over to the post office.

Royal mail don't track stuff that they haven't taken on yet. How could they?

Some places can produce there own dispatch labels, then the royal mail or parcel force take ownership of the item when they scan it.

Correct they printed the documents on monday for sending it.
As it was a bank holiday postman pat was not working. Then it took them until friday to pick pack and despatch it yet on thursday they blamed pat although he did not see it until friday.

Then it appears on royal mail tracking for the first time. Sent from norwich to Atherstone and back to Great Yarmouth friday night to be delivered today.

So as I first said one tells you the truth and one blatantly lies to you. It's not the first time they have blamed pat. I paid for a next day delivery and ordered at 9am. Next day it did not arrive but another parcel did. I was told pat did not collect. So I explained about the other parcel arriving and they could not explain it.

Fair enough

Simple mistake - obviously I thought that you were referencing a royal mail tracking number.

Their own in house labels are a different thing

I.e. .... not worth the paper they're printed on and not something I'd be using as a guarantee of delivery times..

A dispatch label isn't delivery tracking.

They may have a system set up with Royal Mail/Parcel force where they can print their own labels. These would generate a tracking number but it would only show on the system when it is first scanned by the courier.I used to work for Parcel force and we had huge accounts where this was the system used

I ordered 3 new rods New Years Eve which said they were in stock, Order Confirmation email came through with expected delivery date 1 April! Email sent to check this was correct and got a reply within 48 hours. Rods arrived 3 days ago. Customer service and delivery fantastic considering the amount of orders they must have been working through and delivery delays. With the sale prices they had which beat most shops without having to ring around I can't fault TFT.

Ordered over the new year weekend, arrived yesterday, given the bank holiday and excess orders from the 15% offer I was pretty impressed. Instant e mail and then tracking details from Yodel mid week. Was happy with the service.

Terrible service, man!! By the time the order arrived, I wasn't interested anymore. I've already lost money, but luckily they've refunded me like half of it. They refused to refund it at all, saying they still managed to send the order. Either way, by then, I've already bought my stuff from another online store. I also used Brownells Promo Codes, which helped me save a good amount of money. The money I've already lost to that company or whatever it is!!! I never recommended it to anyone! I don't understand how someone can be so greedy. Customers should always be the number 1 priority in a business!

I just don't understand the need to lie to customers. if they forgot to send it, they should just say, saves me staying in all day for a parcel that doesnt turn up!

That would seriously piss me off. Happened a few times and was left raging; not from Total I should add.

What's the score Mozzi, have you mailed them again to find out what's happened to the parcel? Could have slipped down the back of something and still be in their warehouse. Whatever the case is, I'd be well narky 👍

Ok soI had the sales manager and one of the staff members telling me it left then on the 11th feb.

I got through to fedex again today who have said they were only booked on to collect it yesterday.

I have emails stating it was shipped from the shop but every time I tracked the parcel it had only be booked but not picked up.

Several messages were left "seen" over facebook and I have read receipts on my emails, TFT seem to ignore them.

I'd understand a tenner on hooks or something (I mean I wouldn't, but could stomach it more) but it was a £500 order, I'm a small bait maker with 4 dogs and rent a flat in brighton, thats basically scales to a zillion quid

whats more is I paid specifically for next day delivery, on Thursday morning ( 4am though so nota last minute Thursday thing ).

If they just apologised instead of lying it would be less of an issue for me.

Lesson learned, do not deviate from Johnson Ross unless absolutely necessary.

Unfortunately as these big online tackle dealers get bigger and bigger, and the small independents are slowly pushed out of business, this level of cr*p customer service will become the norm.

You mention Johnson Ross. I had an odd one over Christmas with Johnson saying it was sent and FedEx saying they still had to pick it up. FedEx had it all the time. A friend went to Johnson and picked up the bits, then two days later the item via FedEx delivered my original package. Mental.

Not saying that same has happened to you. Just an anecdotal, you know.

Well I've learnt my lesson, never order from a shop without a phone line! It's so easy for them to ignore emails and the like.

Quite a fee items missing from order that weren't mentioned in back order, unfortunately couldn't send parcel back that arrived this evening as couriers don't hang around for you to open them. Not even a paper invoice inside which would usually have ticks on it where items are picked.

Feel like going into their shop and complaining at the til, hold up business they'll listen then!

I take all the positive comments I have made about this joke outfit back. They tell you a price for an item which is out of stock. The item is now due in stock in the next 2-3 weeks and they want more money for it.If I had paid the price originally quoted that would of been nearly 6months of them having over £750 of my money but no product. They quoted the same price again in January and never once mentioned the price quoted was due to a sale

Always get adds from them popping up advertising stuff they don't have, click on the item and it comes up in a small box, this is a pre order item, ask them how long till they actually have it in stock and they either lie or don't know. Another big on line seller I phone and asked if they had five items in stock and they said yes so I drive 48 miles to the shop. Have a mooch around and see for of the five items which total £450 so take them to the till, cashier is about to start ringing them up when I ask about the fifth item, oh no that's out of stock, sorry you told me it was in stock when I phoned which they deny. When I point out that I have driven said distance on the strength of the call they still deny ever getting the call so while I'm stood there dumbfounded they start ringing up the four items which I decide I will buy elsewhere.

Just received more pop up adds from them so click the first two bivvies and get this in the little box, Please note - this is a pre-order item and will be sent as soon as we receive stock, of course you have to place the order and pay for it to get it sent to you whenever they receive it. How much customer cash are they sitting on and how many will get it all back if they go under.

I'd never purchase from TFT again. No number to contact them and you deal with about ten different people to get any sort of refund / stop them charging you twice for tge same order etc.

It got close to me visiting there warehouse and behaving regrettably.

Johnson Ross a thousand times better and run by proper anglers, most the TFT staff ( and I mean 95% if ever you've been to a show ) don't fish.

Honestly next time I'm thinking of purchasing something and they eve remotely come into my thought process I'm going to sit anus first on a fence post to pay penance for my foolishness.

Sounds like this could be a new business model they are using for higher priced items? Bivvys, rods, reels etc label as pre order then once they get the money off the customer order the items and send out once received from supplier.

Not good for the customer as no one will know how long things will take to get delivered but makes good business sense not having to pay out thousands of pounds on high ticket item and be sat on them for however long.

Obviously the trade off with this business model is that you will just force your customers elsewhere 😂😂

I waited 5 days for a few items I'd ordered and paid to join the yearly postal discount scheme. WhatsApp was absolutely useless, obviously different people every time replying. As I'd paid for free next day postage, I used them again and that took 3 days to be delivered despite them claiming it would be here on the stated next day.
To be fair to them though Angling Direct are no better, they emailed when item came back into stock, ordered (again next day delivery) , gave them a 3 days then messaged, item no longer available and took 5 days to refund!!
