I have a set of 3.25 torrix and a set of TE's and TBH I think I prefer the TE, yes it has more casting ability but the tip is very forgiving in close.
As said maybe try and have a look in the flesh.
Plenty of TE's on e-bay and if you don't like just resell for the same money, I don't think they will drop much further.

I can get rid of my countless tubs of 10 year old pop ups now...mixed into spomb mix at a small ratio to try and get some up'n'down happening over the spot
Also good in solid bags
