If you mean fishing programmes Im struggling. Checked Go Fishing but 1988 so not 40 years yet.

'Allo 'Allo! is pure class and just as funny now as it was then. The great thing about it is that it rips the p*ss out of everyone in equal measure, the British, the French, Germans, Italians and whatever other nationalities pop up. It was fair at least!

Nah, seen them on TV recently, one of the ITV channels I think.

Mind your language was a hoot but definitely wouldn't be allowed these days

Allo Allo, Rising Damp, on TV weekly now, Till death us do part and In Sickness and Health are still being shown on TV to this day. Bit of "Bleeping" out though on the latter two and all the series and episodes shown about 2 years ago.

I do sadly, I think it was part of what the BBC showed us kids in the early 70s on a Saturday morning no wonder I started fishing, looks like I'm showing my age too 🥲

For me as a kid coming home from school it was late afternoon matinees on BBC2, Charlie Chan, Sherlock Holmes (Basil Rathbone) and Monkey Magic, showing my age 😂

Bought the Sherlock/Basil box set some years ago, still enjoy watching them every now and then, love the sound effects. From a more innocent time!

Chap who said 'cos they are crap' got valid point for a lot of it not being on.
If it's not offensive then it's still on somewhere and probably right now. Only difference is back then you only had 3 then 4 channels. Now you got a thousand and they are all the same sheight!
Bit like the records. Same in any era really, I guess, always been top heavy with absolute rubbish and you remember the 1% you liked. Sadly not just the one's you like. Nothing worse than waking up and a song's in your head and you hated it cos it was absolute shyte, nothing worse.
