Just seen on the Socials Keith Jenkins. Author and fishing the likes of Horton and Wraysbury and many other venues. Fishing Opo of Dave Lane and Ian Chilly Chilcott. And wearer of Multi coloured Pantoloons and silly hats.Has sadly passed away. My thoughts at this sad time go out to his Fred's and Family.. Rest Easy...

Remember his child (daughter ??) wasn't too well.

Really enjoyed Keith's articles in Carp Fisher and carpworld back in the day. He struck me as an ordinary guy who fell into writing out of love for the pursuit, more than wanting to make a name for himself. His articles on Horton and Wraysbury were compulsory reading for me. Loved that he didn't just restrict his ramblings to carp fishing - thanks to him, I got into Big Big Train.

Remember him and Chilly forming ECHO and him going into publishing. Still have the Horton, Wraysbury and Savay Chronicles collection. Lovely books I'll probably hand down to my daughter at some point.

One of carp angling's good ones. Sad news and condolences to his family.

Sad news. A very talented angler and writer. His Horton articles in carp world were a big inspiration and his books were fantastic too.

Really sad news his articles in carp world inspired me to fish .
His exploits at Horton etc with Chilly and Dave Lane .

Very sad news. Keith was a nice guy and my last memories are of him sitting over ashmead chatting whilst sharing a couple of bottles of ice cold white wine in the summer sun.... rest in peace old son x

I met Keith a few times at shows and he was always friendly and chatty.
At one particular show I ended stopping at his stand and chatting to him three times and somehow ended up buying The Myth twice by mistake.
The following year I told him what had happened he laughed and offered to refund my money for one of the books, which I declined.
Lovely guy. R.I.P.

RIP Keith remembered him for his regular contributions to Carp fisher & Carpworld.

My condolences to his family and friends.

It's really sad. Slowly losing the anglers that we respected.

The younger carp anglers of today are not as lucky as we were. The people we all read about in the magazines were just different before the internet. He was one of those.

Wow, that's devastating. First met Keith when he was fishing Eridge Park. The company I had at the time authored the DVD he included in Pete Springate's "Moon River". RIP mate.

RIP Keith, remember reading about his angling in the late 90's, great angler and a real character.

Loved his stories about Horton back in the day in Carpworld, I remember he had a brilliant season one year catching many of the great history fish of the 90s........ A feat even more impressive with his outrageously bright clothes! Ha ha. His articles in Carpworld always used to raise a smile with his humour and capture of big carp with him and his friends. Thanks for the great memories Keith!

Think it was 4 diffrent forties in one season from Horton
He wrote about it in one of Tim paisley's books. Some achievement in the early 90,s.

The clothes thing was just the sign of the times really. In the late 80's early 90's you wore ether army surplus. But you was looked on as a bit serious. Or you wore what you didn't mind getting dirty from your wardrobe. And in the early 90's colourfull clothes were abound. By the sounds of it Kieth didnt take it to serious

RIP Kieth My last memories of him are us sat in the crown ? pub in
Horten chewing the fat about the lakes in the area and finally myself handing him a large envelope full of papers and photographs of Wraysbury for his book. Sad loss

Rip,I remember years ago as a kid sitting in the next swim to him float fishing at tilgate lakes in Crawley and Keith showing me he's home made sounder box.
