I once had a txi plus that used to do the same. It was always after using during heavy rain. I found that just leaving the alarm to dry out for a couple of days would not cure the problem. However, after a week or so the alarm would be ok again.

It was obviously moisture getting in somewhere it shouldn’t. I ended up just keeping that alarm as a spare.

I also decided to try the Fox Exorcet Pro. I’ve been needing to cast a bit further recently so was looking for a line with as low as possible diameter, but still a decent breaking strain. The Exocet Pro in 16lb is 0.32 diameter with an average breaking strain of 15.65lb (according to the tackle box tests). I thought this looked good compared to others. Anyway, I’ve been using it a couple of months now and it’s been brilliant. Casts well, sinks well and behaves on the spool. I’ve had a good few battles with big fish and it’s felt easily strong enough. Would definitely recommend.

This video made me cringe! Barely legal? What is he, the Jimmy Saville of hook baits?
Claims that his baits have caused him problems with other bait companies.😂
What a load of nonsense! However, I guess the proof will be in the pudding.

21 years for me. I don't log in all that often, but have browsed the forum a couple of times a day for most of the last 20 years.
I wonder who's been registered the longest? Karlos, I suppose.

He said in a recent interview how he'd like to go back to Iran. I thought this was a really good idea.

Apparently, he's quit carp fishing and is now concentrating on becoming a porn star.
