I use 6000t's on my 3.5 HI's, this is because the water I fish is weedy and I use 20lb big game straight through. I find the bigger spools help with casting thicker lines (comes off the spool easier).

The guy said they had been discontinued hence me making my own as a trakker one similar to the one I'm making is £50+ and the bits I've bought come to less than a score.

Was in Johnson Ross today and the issue is with the join/thread on the pole, emailed Korda who told me it has been discontinued. Shame as I used one at Gigantica and liked it, I am currently making my own using an old landing net pole and a 'crook' purchased from the tackle box.

If your not Fishing mega long range I suggest good old Berkley Big Game, its as tough as old boots, and casts reasonably well. My main water is pretty weedy, I was using ESP Syncro in 18lb but had a couple of breaks/cut offs, changed to TA line which I though was a step backwards and put 20lb BS big game on and have had no issues since (touch wood!).

Line is a personal choice ( hooks as well) when you find the right one stick to it and prey the manufacturers don't change it!

Not sure I would trust a critical piece of end tackle to Temu/AliExpress would rather stick to tried and trusted products even if they cost a bit more (Gemini are not overly expensive in my opinion).

Hope all goes well Jim, I found angling to be the best therapy had my best year captures wise on my syndicate during the four months after my operation before I returned to work.

Be lucky

I take a couple of foil trays and put the frozen chips in that turning once during cooking, yep don't keep taking the lid off to keep the temperature up 👍🏻

There's quite a bit on YouTube about cooking on the Cobb worth a watch.

Pie & chips 30 minutes
Roast chicken breast/potatoes/parsnips dinner 60 minutes (i like my potatoes crispy)
Large jacket potato 60 minutes

Used as a BBQ similar times to open charcoal BBQ.

All times listed once oven up to heat

I'm still learning but have found it delivers a greater diversity in what you can eat bankside
