Met both of them on Suffolk Water Park when I and they were fishing it regularly.

Absolutely gutted. Met Paul on many occasions over the years on Mid Kent Fisheries waters.
Was quite a character and a fantastic angler.
Truly sad news.
Another good guy taken far to soon.

I cant remember whose post it was, I did see something on Facebook.


If it was, That has really hit the headlines recently with Doddie Weir and his Foundation Charity and Kevin Sinfield with his fund raising into research.

MND is a nasty, vicious disease and although the chances of developing it are relatively low it is on the increase, as highlighted a lot recently with Doddie Weir and Rob Burrow.

I didn't know Paul personally but enjoyed very much his writings and catches - what a book his journey would have made ! One of my earliest recollections was Paul catching ‘chop dorsal' many years ago . RIP Paul !

I met Paul a few times at Les Quis, couldnt call him a friend, but what a lovely bloke he was in the short time i did meet him

Such a lovely bloke.

He was partial to the old Fox Specialist chairs, so when I stuck mine up for sale Paul messaged me within minutes and said he would buy it. When I arrived at his cottage he immediately set the chair up and plonked himself on it and we nattered for a little while. I could have stayed all afternoon talking nonsense in his garden (Which both himself and Mrs F obviously loved tending to) but I had my own Mrs in the car, so had to shoot off.

cypography have just dropped the Paul Forward interview on youtube for anyone to watch.

I've just watched the Cypography film and just wow!
I've never watched anything similar and ended up liking a guy I've never met more than I do Paul Forward. What an absolutely brilliant attitude to, well, everything he spoke about. If everyone used his approach to angling way more fish would be put on the bank and fisheries would be generally nicer places to be.

Thanks for that. Just watched. I'm not a subscriber so haven't watched it before.

Nice gesture if they have just made that public. It is really very engaging. Usually I can't watch any carp media stuff.

Posted early on re condolences, but I have just watched the Cypography interview.... simply fantastic 👏 PF was a thoughtful gent in today's Carping rat race. Took time to provide an honest answer on every topic or question..some interviewees answer with the expected reply..not PF.

I have a friend that is a decent all round angler but had never
Tried the 'modern carp scene'. With bivvys and buzzers etc. Until
I took him with me a few times last summer.

He's.been regularly sending me questions or links involving markers
And wraps distance sticks, zig rigs. He's watching YouTube stuff
And I can see He's getting info overload. And as Paul says you shouldn't just
Do stuff for the sake of it. So I've sent him the link to this.
