Dislike it. It does not look right as a camouflage.

A couple of years ago on Countryfile the particular segment was on the Scottish Moors. Obviously the presenter was wearing an orange high-vis jacket, the shooter was wearing Realtree and the guide was wearing his tweeds.
The Realtree was as obvious as the hi-vis, the tweeds were difficult to pick out.

I wear a fair amount of combat gear for fishing, plain olive green trousers, DPM, or MTP. The current armed forces MTP, I don't think is right in the European environment, the older DPM is better.
For fishing I'm happy to wear the olive green or DPM, although the current combat jackets do have added mosquito repellent.

All of the above are better than Realtree.

Unless you are being shot at all camo is for w@**ers only

It's OK, I will waite and see if the best carp people wear it and if thay do so shall i

Got Pro Logic saloppettes and a Redwing two stage jacket and both are warm and comfortable.
I don't own Vass chesties,chunky knitwear or effect a large beard,top knot and short back and sides. Sheep do that.
It's fishing, fashion is for ****ers.

Camouflage is background specific. Look at Chameleons. Any camo against the wrong background stands out like a sore thumb.

I have always liked camo /ex army gear its normally well made and cheap
Im not wearing it to hide from the fish of course ( only the idiots think that )
but I do like to blend into my surroundings to a degree
I think its funny how these childish comments from sad no life tossers that have so little in their lives they worry about what other people choose to wear its sad really they dont realise how they are making themselves look

Never went out of fashion at the carp shows

General camo though, ill wear trousers when im fishing as it hides marks well. Doesnt make you look like youve been sucking geezers off in the bushes if youve had to kneel down for whatever reason

I made some good money in the early RealTree days. Over 3 years we made 3 trips to Florida in the end we were filling an xl wheeled holdall with cheap Realtree stuff from Walmart and selling it back here on Ebay

If you hot a sale itnwas crazy. long sleeve Realtree cotton Tshirts for 99c and aelling for,up to 15 quid over here.

I usually wear full real tree so that when I'm holding a can of Stella I can resemble the average bush in most swims nowadays.

When the mossy oak came out I was really into my pigeon shooting and carping.
The camo was so good that the pigeons, rabbits or whatever it was we were shooting just never spotted us! Roost shooting became fairly easy and stalking carp in the edge was a doddle!
We were out hunting in a forest where perhaps we should not have been 😂 when my old man went to lean his gun against a tree, the tree moved and turned into a 6 foot fella who was out doing the same thing!! His camo was so good! I still have a very nice 20 year old real tree hunting coat and it's my pride and joy!
If lumberjack real tree shirts come back in, I'm having at least 5 😂🕺🏼

What's wrong with camo and Real Tree? I did a bit of paintballing when I was a kid and used to mess about up the army grounds so kinda grew up with camo, so it was normal to me to use it for fishing. I've got some Deer hunter winter Trousers that are incredibly warm and a couple of T shirts, I do think blending in when stalking carp helps, maybe not necessarily to the point of looking like a tree, but I enjoy it 😀
