Which brand do you think makes the best quality luggage?

Always found fox luggage very good quality..

A few I speak to say Speero is also good

Speero,not crazy prices but superb quality.A bit limited on protection for your rods at the moment,im waiting on the tri-sleeves but their gear is quality

Speero for me as well in dpm, great quality, well thought out on the whole...had most bits 1 to 2 years now can't fault it so far...

Personally think the trakker nxg stuff is good for the price. Also would agree with speero if you wanted to spend that bit more.

I've got bits of both ranges in DPM. Happy with all of it.

Always been a fan of ESP luggage, was good quality and sensibly priced. I see they have now jumped on the gimmick bandwagon and want £90 for a 40 litre rucksack just because you can clip a mat to it.

Speero is pretty much the best I've come across. Cannot fault it. Decent prices compared to some of the other mass produced crap that's out there.

Got loads of speero gear and cant fault it at all. Superb quality, well thought out and not to expensive. I swapped over from cotswold and its just as well made but better thought out and the material is identical. I do use a cotswold rod holdall though as they are still the best for rod protection but the speero luggage beats cotswold gear every time for me.

I use a variety of luggage Cotswold Aquarius , speero , esp , aqua , trakker and recently Korda. I'm only interested in whatever does the best job. Not interested in branding

Watch for stitching issues on cotswold and if you go for the green don't leave it in the sun.I had a carryall that faded badly after only a few uses

My fox burrow bag has lasted and is good quaility
I also use the shimano trench stuff, well made and very tough

Only ever had issues with the green from CA and you see quite a bit of their gear forsale with stitching issues.CA trident deluxe are probably the best rod bags on the market for protection though

May have already been said but im not reading the whole thread lol. But, dont go for all luggage from the same manufacturer/range, some bits from one company/range, arent as good as those from other companies.

The thinking anglers sleeves and quiver are the best ive come across for rods, and ive had a fair few, fox, CA, trakker, nash, aqua

But i prefer the fox camolite ruckall to the thinking anglers offering

And a fox voyager barrow bag

A CA camera bag, which was expensive, and not bad, and the design i wanted, but its nowhere near as good quality as youd expect for the price, and the carry strap is very very questionable.

The few bits of CA luggage ive had, ive not been Overly impressed with

If your starting from scratch why spend so much money you may get bored after one season.

I don't think either their is any brand which sits out as best. I would say over the last 30 plus years most of the stuff from the established names (and a few new names) is pretty good.

I've had most of names mentioned below.

I would strongly suggest get yourself in a shop and take a look as there is so much choice these days.

Rod slings, cool bags, carryalls - all Cotswold, very high quality, will last for years, functional too. Rucksacks (I have four in various sizes) from Wisport, nothing made by any angling firm can touch those. Military 1st sell them in the UK

I dont think speero is made in england but i could be wrong. I think the people who started speero have sold it now but i could be wrong on that one as well.

I use orginal aqua with odd esp bit. But to be fair most if not all are now made the same in same factory in China. So you are just buying maybe a different design gimmick or paying for the badge.

You can't beat speero for value for money the price is spot on Cotswold prices are ridiculous and fox gets good reviews

I have the trench buzz bar carry case and it's spot on
I use it to put a pod in as well as the alarms
To be honest I have a mixture of stuff
A Fox barrow bag, a Speero bag for the kettle and stove
And the rest gets thrown in the barrow
I don't like too many bags, eventually it gets ridiculous
I think it's clear from below , not to stick to one brand

Good to have different makes buy the best bit that they do but I am afraid to say there's a lot of people that want it all to match I've spoken to people that have said it would drive them crazy having gear not matching

I can imagine. Ive noticed over the years that most anglers have a 'thing'. Mine is bivvies. I have swapped and changed in search of the quickest up and down as new ones come along.

I have a mate that is really into luggage and swaps and changes to get a new set all matching.Others are always buying reels or new alarms.

I'm a bit like that too

I like to have all my equipment in the same brand. But I can't seem to find the perfect brand from tackle to biwy.

Until a few years back. It reminds me of some millionaire old lady with a servant carting about mountains of Louis Vitton.

Fishing holdall rucksack and Rod holdall and noone gave a ***** unless it broke

My ocd means I'm all Cotswold camo and it's cost me a fortune,

I'm forever changing my main tackle bag from the vulpine (canals and rivers) , to the deceptor dlx (48 hrs) to the hold-all (days) all of which are great but do different jobs, Ive also got the stalker bucket, sleeping bag cover and various others all bits and it's all lasted well

my trident Rod bag came loose at the pocket but ca repaired it free of charge and Ive had most of it for a good few years so I can't grumble about it and it is made in England if you care about that

Ultimately I've got too much to change and as I'm anal it needs to match I'm tied in BUT the more I see the Speero gear on the bank and in shops the odd I like it

Judging by the headtorch thread, I wouldn't be surprised if you are expected to carry all your gear by hand one item at a time, obviously in the dark. Also fishing equipment not required as you can dive into the lake (in the dark) and catch the fish by hand. Forget about cooking equipment and a burner creates light, so best thing to do is rub your food between your hands until it warms up.. or better yet, hunt a rabbit and eat it raw as it will still be warm.. also need less gear then. That sounds like a pleasant fishing trip

OK being serious now, you can spend a lot of money on luggage, I've had a nash carryall for years which has been great but don't really use it anymore as started using a rucksack which takes everything other than food, unless I'm doing a quick session. It's a chub rucksack and has been brilliant, only paid about £50 for it and also have several NGT items, cheap as chips. Had an insulated bag for a few years for food which only cost about £20 if that, and a little soft case that has all of my terminal tackle in. Again only cost about £10. Had that now 10years plus and zips etc all still work fine.
What I'm saying is you can easily save money in this area if you want to, or go for the best expensive stuff that may or may not be more durable.

Ah, but I'm not the type of person to take tons of material with me.

I'm just looking for a backpack, a carry all, a lead kit, a tackle kit, and some tackle. (and maybe a new landing mat too)

But I'm looking for THE brand that could provide me with the best quality price.

Assuming that I like to have the same brand of equipment (which I think is an important element in judging a brand - you don't judge on one product, but on several in my opinion) I'm thinking of Aqua products, Speero, Korda.

I already have a Bed Aqua, and I'm happy with it! I've had Aqua luggage too, but older models. I have never been disappointed. Speero I don't know much about, but being French, it's ultra complicated for me to get UK gear. (especially Speero which is very poorly distributed in my country...)

Korda would be a good solution, I would have the luggage and tackle, it's good. But I'm a bit worried about the price/quality ratio.

I don't want Fox or Nash. I think Prologic is late. Thinkin Anglers is complicated in France too.

In short, it's not easy, but I have time, there's no rush.

Why does it need to all be from one company? Surely it matters more that whatever item suits your needs, and does the job you want it to, than who makes the thing?

Yep, I'm looking for the old Aqua models on second hand, but it's not obvious ahah

Obviously, if I can't do otherwise, I mix brands, but I like to have everything from one brand, which solves the supply problems at my retailer!

Rod slings, Cotswold trident, had a few since they came out

Had a couple of Cotswold rucksacks, stil have one, build quality is spot on, rucksack capability is poor

Buy British

Over the years, the fox evolution stuff took some beating for me, top quality, as was the original royal stuff, make to last, till I sold it

I had loads of the evolution luggage and it was spot on.

Had Cotswold carryalls for years. All very good.Had the tackle bag thing and buzz bar pouch, again good quality but now moved onto Korda tackle safe and rig box and neoprene iPad sleeve for buzzers as less bulky.

I'm starting from scratch pretty much after almost 12 years without gear (got stolen). I had pretty much mostly Trakker luggage as it was relevant to what I needed from it at the time. I'm happy to mix and match according to what I need from it again but will probably go for Trakker again as I can get between 25%and 30% off of the RRP. I have always liked the Cotswold Aquarius stuff but can't justify the price ofset compared to Trakker.
