My tackle box is looking a bit sorry for itself with a few cracks,broken hinge and the other likely to go soon.
I'm gonna glue,tape it together and will do for my float tackle bits.Now I need one as my main box.
Narrowed down to a Fox F box,or the snazzy new Korda one and as I've no shops that stock either,I'm up for some recommendations.Ta in advance.

I'm based, still have my original Fox box, still going strong, must be near 20 years. I know a lot of the newer boxes get rave reviews but given the fact they have in-built lids & hinges which cant be replaced without replacing the entire box, I'll give them a miss....but I am not of the newer 'cloth'.

I have got the korda box,its well made and fits everything I need in it easily.My fox medium double sided box is sat in the shed now never to be used again

Ice cream tub or sandwich box, packets kept tidy with elastic band's, bits and bobs in a small multi compartment box, no carp tax.

Fox medium box for me, on my second, nothing fancy, the single sided one, faultless

If it don't fit in it does not go

I use a variety of the Really Useful Boxes - made in the UK, very strong, with proper latches on them, unlike the cheap copies you can find in supermarkets.

I got the NGT one (copy of the Korda box) and it's great. Quite small but ideal and cheap as chips. Still working really well with lots of abuse and grit.

Another one for the Korda tackle box I think it's brilliant nothing better out there, my fox box is somewhere at the bottom of my cupboard won't be out again unless my kids want it one day. I won't use it again

ive got the korda tackle safe and tackle box and I really rate them.

Have to admit Korda have done a really good job with their tackle box. I was using pouches but was sick of having to delve into them to find something (especially at night) so took the plunge on one a year or so back. Takes up less room than a large Fox box but holds 90% of what a full large fox box does. Takes everything I need to cover every eventuality (other than floater & zig work but have a medium sized Compac pouch to hold that lot making it easy to leave in the car with the rest of the spare food, clothing, water, bait, etc just in case. I also hate carrying the little wallets of bits with me as well so having the separate flip top compartments makes it easier for me to take the small bits I will use. I have labelled all the compartments though using my Dymo label writer (using the smallest text size) which makes it even easier to locate the items I need (especially when half asleep). Adding a second magnet to the rig board section also makes a big difference in keeping the hooklinks in place & straight (the £2.99 isn't going to break the bank for that & helps with being able to hold both short & longer hooklinks in place without the ends flapping everywhere on the longer ones). Saying that, I may even buy a Tackle Safe for day sessions where I know I am not going to be needing all the stuff I have in the tackle box. I also have one of the combination Rig Safes that is purely used for my Stiff Hinge rig boom sections where the flip top bits in the lid are filled with the components I need for constructing them & the hook/Chod sections (swivels, crimps, rings, beads, etc including some size 5 hooks with point protectors on them in the larger compartments - I am considering getting some of the thin magnetic fridge magnet material to line the compartment/s with for more protection). Overkill for most maybe, but works for me & means I don't have multiple boxs or pouches laying all over the place on the bedchair when making a boom/chod section.

I have a couple of tackle boxes, my Plano tool type box and a TFG Lok Box.

The TFG is perfect for just odds and sods of tackle and bits for pike fishing for me, so should be OK for carp fishing if you don't carry the kitchen sink.

The main reason I don't use the TFG for carp fishing is I can't fit my hooklink materials in it, I have a number of original Kryston and Amnesia spools in there, along with leads.

Had my hutchy one for over 20 years. Clip broke my fault. Bought the large fox luxury one. Moaned in shop didnt want all the inner boxes thought idea was overkill. You know what love it for once everything is tidy and I know where everything is. By far one of fox's best products along with their alarms.

It's what I bought in the end. Simply because I had one before and it lasted a few years,liked the hooklength dispensers with the cutter,. plus there were no Korda ones in stock
On the negative side,the rig holders are pants.

Ive started using korda pouches. I have a small one for leads, medium one for bait needles, scissors etc, and theres a zip compartment in the lid for keep spare hooks in or any other small rig items i nay need instant access to, and a larger pouch for rig making bits, which i can either take with me or leave at home for short sessions

I like the TA tackle pouch but for some reason they don't seem to make them anymore which is a shame.

. . I've got an original large Fox (20yrs plus old) plus the smaller variant that I used for donkies however don't bother with hardcase takle boxes at all now and much prefer a soft case style . . .no need to 'decant' small items and they stay in the packs for ease of storage / access.

Have two pouches, a large Korum one (akin to a large Korda Compact) with the majority in bits / excess leads that stays in the car, take a smaller lead pouch with essentials only to the bank. Most of my 'session' tackle (spare clips, hooks, needles, scissors, PVA) sits in the 'cuvette' tray of my 17l trakker bucket . . .

Had a Shakespeare Tackle Box (fitted their seat box) for thirty years. Which was great. I gave it away to someone hoping his passion for fishing would continue as he was a little wayward at the time.

I now use trakker PVA bag which suits me.

Is the PVA bag not a bit iffy when it rains?

I have recently gone back to the Tacklesafe from the Korda tackle box, found I was taking far too much with me every time and the tackle safe has all the terminal bits i need..

Korda Tackle box now has my coarse and pike gear in it

I went to a Korda Tacklesafe from a Fox box a couple of years ago and it's great. It is very small but it stops you taking and the stuff that you don't use but carry “just in case”.

Is there much difference between the Korda Tackle Safe @ £25 and the NGT XPR Tackle box @ £13....apart from the price and the stigma ?

I've got the NGT one and its really good. I can't compare it to the Korda one as I've never owned it but mine is working brilliantly - no issue with magnets, breakages etc. Seems sturdy and well built to me.
