have been using 10ft rods for past 4/5yrs almost exclusively, but fancied a change this weekend and brought out a set of 12ft rods, lordy they felt long and slightly unwieldly tbh after so long on the 10ft rods. Will be back on the 10ft's next trip

Bit rude mate, you have zero idea of how I fish or where I have fished. I've done the 150/200yrd boat work but only when I can wind in from the bank. But if placing rigs by boats, then boating back to that spot to lift it off the bottom is your thing, fill your boots, not really fishing is it

Although the film/video was mildly entertaining, the idea of rowing 500m+ to drop a rig, then row 500m+ again to net the fish doesn't require much skill or fun imo. Also having to reattach braid after emptying a spool whilst boating out, no thanks. I'll stick to my underarm casts thank you
