What is it with this that is making it so expensive on the second hand market

It's the new fizz/harvest

Lack of confidence or stupidity of people believing the goo is the reason they are catching and nothing to do with anything else.
Couldn't imagine Having such a lack of confidence in my angling ability that I'd pay silly money for something anyone can make at home.

I think I have an unopened one in the garage...

I bought it as a knee jerk whilst in the tackle shop, BUT I never use Goo

I know, I am stupid...but maybe that stupidity may now result in accidental financial gain!

Even Korda now believes that a lot of the success of squid goo was colouring the baits pink, just buy food dye!

I've been told by a couple of people that that some of the initial ingredients in the goos have changed which was what made some of them apparently so effective. The red squid one being one of those. Hence older versions are now more desirable and going for silly money on ebay.

Whether or not it is a) true or b) actually makes a difference I don't know. But I'm pretty sure that's why it's all going a bit silly on Ebay.

Thats Wild.....

I know retro flavours have been "in" for a while and some of the money changing hands for those old flavours that by experts accounts are a bit stale and way past their best is crazy.... retro to me being 80's/early 90's?

When was the Squid first released - 2012?

If 2012 is considered retro nowadays and so carries retro tax then thats me feeling proooooperly old.

or do people know things we don't on the secret squid ingredients?

So why are Korda no longer making this coloured squid goo then?.. are they just trying to create demand. Then flood the market with loads. Bit like the toy manufacturers at crimbo..

Wasn't that long ago there was a load of hoha that these goos were just flavored Flurosene. ( dyes which plumbers use to trace leaks ). Remember Hamidi defending them to the death. Saying they weren't.. it all died down after a while. They now seem to be accepted.. always thought they was a lot of hype to be honest..
