Morning All, Has any one seen or purchased the large fully loaded korda tackle box yet. best part of £100. i was tempted but will i just be carrying around a load more weight.
I was looking forward to seeing this but note they have continued with a rig board which for me is a total waste of space as i would never store my rigs within a tackle box!

It's pretty light as it's not got the metal and magnets for the rigs just pins 👍

I owned the normal tackle box and got rid,I use a tacklesafe and the case it fits in for a few spools of hooklinks.It takes up less room and I don't carry things I never seem to use anyway.The Fox tacklebox is well worth a look,no stupid rig tray

Thank you. i also have the standard box which fits nicely in the Nash workbox. and can easily fit lots of odds and ends in. (mostly the bits that never going to see the light of day. since i bought them. i do also have the fox medium tackle box which i find very user friendly. due to the catches. and the lid opening arrangement, which opens 180 and makes a useful work surface) if i do get the large korda one i will likely need a bigger storage option for it.

A box for box, a bag for a bag. Ditched all that nonsense and got myself one of there basix tacklebox. Holds everything I'm likely to use. Best thing I ever did.

I use the Fox version for my carp gear, prefer it. The lid opens to horizontal rather than flopping back and hanging
My Korda boxes got demoted to Pike rucksack and Perch rucksack. They're good, but not quite as good as the Fox (imho)

I was a big fan of the old double sided fox box. sadly i sold mine at a car boot. really wish i hadn't. it was super hard wearing and done good service for years. i got caught up in the whole shiny tackle syndrome.

Had a look at this in a shop today, I don't know how you would fill it tbh. Unless you buy every component on the market to make a rig and take it every time.
I have the normal one and that probably has way more than I actually need in it.

I eventually pulled the trigger on one of these as the wife kept asking what i wanted for Christmas. so expected delivery Tuesday. thanks for the replies.

Just seen a pic of this box on the Socials.. surprised it don't come with shoulder straps. It's bigger than me rucksack..

Ditched my Fox boxes years ago and would never buy another dedicated tackle box . . . used to spend hours organizing bits but then even longer trying to find the bits I actually wanted/needed . . that and lugging a load of stuff that isn't needed most of the time is just extra weight.
All terminal tackle (primarily hooks / swivels / hooklink material) goes in a 17l bucket insert tray in their original retail packs (which are therefore easier to locate and also refresh when empty); the rest / any excess / rarely used 'bits' in a soft case in the boot of the car (along with excess leads etc)

I Too was a long time user of the Fox double sided box and I bloody loved it tbh.
But I upgraded to a Korda tackle safe and EVA container for it and haven't looked back since. Fits in a side pocket of my bag and is more then enough for me, if i need anything else im probably taking too much stuff.

I love my original Fox large box, it'll be buried with me 
I've simply got no confidence at all in the boxes with integrated lids for componenets and once 1 goes might as well throw it away.
I bought some Preston Accessory boxes the other day, 1 of the lids was broken in the pack. The tackle shop swapped it out for another one but again same corner lid feels very free and I've no faith in it.

For years I loved my Fox large double sided box, but eventually got sick of it, no matter how much I arranged things in it, their was always times when I wanted items out of both sides of the box, so I would have to close one side and flip it over causing an upheaval.
I also replaced all the small rig boxes inside it, basically, they waste too much space with the hinges and locking catches on them leaving a big gap between the box's dividers. Also, because they had one lid covering all the compartments, it was not easy to empty one compartment by tipping them out. Instead I used the ones out of my old Chub smartbox and they fitted perfectly and no space wasted as there was no catches or hinges and individual compartment lids.
Eventually, I stopped using my Fox box and bought a NGT 7+1 Tackle Box from Boyes many years ago when they was only about £12 and once again used the Chub rig boxes inside it along with the boxes you get from chemists etc for keeping pills in and could get everything inside it that the Fox box held. They are an absolute bargain and about £14 now plus they also do a smaller one about £7.99

Another vote for the basic box by Korda.
I even get my scales and phone charger in it.
Plenty big enough for my day / early morning sessions.

Update. it has arrived, my god it is a beast,

If you want a double sided Fox box, for old times sake, I have one I am willing to part with (plus about 3 of the non-double sided ones)

Like you, tried a few over the years, and I think I've settled on the TackleSafe and Compac combo.
Def. a Horses for Courses thing plus, of course, the amount of terminal tackle you use on the bank.

same. I got fed up with having loads of stuff on me that I never used so have spent the last year cutting right back.
i've managed to get down to a rig board with scissors & a needle, boom tube & a double sided hook box for my trips now. a couple of leaders with weights attached in the bag & everything else stays in the car.
it's amazing how much stuff you don't need.

Totally agree we have all been fed that we need loads of stuff but in reality we don't unless your doing long sessions in France most of us do a quick overnight or a day session or at most the weekend on average I to own a Korda basic and have everything in it including pop ups
It can be done just need to go over what's really needed and as others have said leave the rest in car

I like having all my terminal gear in the one place so yes I carry far too much but let's be right, it weighs next to nothing so it might be bulky but doesn't make a massive difference to me.

Fox made thin 4 comps with locking lids that fit 2 abreast in the middle 2 sections, so 3 layers deep, 24 comps. You don't see many of those about, I could do with a fair few more. Thing is I still have a small 4 comp overflow pouch for things that don't fit in the FB.
Recently I've been populating a seat box, looking at the match scene now it begs the Q, why all the terminal tackle, and that leads back to Carp fishing. Most of us fish a certain way on short sessions so really we don't need it as others have said, but I've paid for all that crap so I might as well look at it

I moved away from those flat rigid boxes many years ago after using a RAACO box for ages. Now use an old skool tupperwear box, perfect and cost a couple of quid from a car boot. Everything fits in it and its light

The old school Tuppawear Hobby keeper boxes. Size of a lunch box internal dividers and removable tray. Surprised no tackle company has done a copy to be honest. You can still pick them up on Ebay and the like.
