Just after some user reviews if possible, I know some people said they had concerns about the plastic knuckle/spring, so mainly want to hear if anyone has had any issues with these yet as I'm looking at getting one in the new year.

Eye watering prices for the kit. Is it worth £979 ( usually available at £879+) for a 150 size bivvy? 
The 100 is £899 - 944.99rrp... discounted to £799 - £850 ish.... Social caps are £400 - £450 rrp alone...

I've used the normal 100T for a few years and it's fast to setup with no issues and doesn't cost the earth.
They also purposely made the new RS range NOT fit any of the non-RS accessories like infill panels, skull caps, wraps etc so that if you just fancied upgrading your core bivvy......you can't unless you buy all the accessories you regularly use with it.

I've also got the standard 100T with cap, wrap, social and it's been perfect, I see the aquatex 100T has also now been discontinued, this was probably required as it was so underpriced at a mere £599 rrp.

My RS150 is holding up well and a great bit of kit IMHO, only real down side is the cost however, most good items are expensive these days.

Also got the RS100 and agree, it is the perfect shelter for me. One niggle is the groundsheet, don't like clip-in jobs personally.

Plus that has thicker fabric aswel. Doesn't mean it's better quality though, but still. That always strikes me when comparing Trakker's and Aqua's Aquatexx: Aqua's is much thicker.

Thicker fabric = dries out slower. There's always a positive and negative.
The more people willing to pay ridiculous money for a slightly updated tempest rs the more encouraging it is for Trakker to keep hiking prices and their profit margins.
£900 for a 100 aquatexx which was half that price not long ago is simply outrageous imo.

I wouldn't let that put you off, you can always use the original as a template and cut one from a much heavier duty material if it bothers you

I don't blame you for thinking that. No I don't have a RS but if the GS is thinner that's a bit of a poor show from Trakker.
A lot of manufacturers cut costs on their GS. I'm out of touch, my last purchase was the Air V2 and that groundsheet was very poor compared to my old Fox Eurodome ground sheet. Cost of tent seems to be irrelevant nowadays, even expensive family tents have really poor associated ground sheets, just plain nylon or polyester weave and thin at that. Whenever we buy a new tent we always buy a HD GS for it, lots of sellers on Ebay, I'll be doing the same if I get the RS, which I'm sorely tempted by, if it's GS isn't up to scratch. I'm still using my Eurodome GS with my Air V2.

Think its a weight saving thing to ensure the stats look better for all those mobile wannabees. . .daft really as if your going to bother using a groundsheet it really needs to be heavy (like the original Armo gsheets) and maybe priced as a separate accessory rather than a bundled cost.

Downside is the plastic elbows are flipping tight to pull open. I have health issues and grip is poor and trying ro hold and pull two half's apart was a piggin mare.
I ended making some plastic doughnuts with grub screw in. Slid them up the tube, from bottom. Then clamp them 10mm from the elbow. Makes life so much easier and does not damage anything. The grub screws have rubber inserts to help prevent digging into the tube paint

Im sure something like that will be on the mk2 version to justify the astronomically price. I can imagine it would be quite difficult to pull them pole out of the knuckle with wet slippy hands. It definitely needs a little flange or something to hold onto.

Not impressed, had my RS150 up
In the garden today drying after packing up in the rain yesterday.
One of the metal poles just sheared in the knuckle and now needs replaced. Only used it 5 times.
Now I'm about to find out how good the customer service is.

I didn't bother speaking to Trakker tbh.
I bought a replacement from their spares website for £45 delivered.

The original 100T in the new RS version is 10 cm smaller in height? Seems odd to go shorter.
I've the brolly RS, it's the perfect size for anything 24 hours to a week. Great bit of kit, built well IMO. But you'll always have those who love a whine or three. Forum fish wives. Take anything off here with a huge pinch of salt.
I have just bought the trakker tempest rs 100 and the first time I used it the middle pole snapped at the knuckle.
Going to be ordering an RS150 bivvy, skull cap and the magnetic insect panel. Looking like being around £1180. This will be my last big purchase so i want to make sure I am getting the best thats out there.
Might even get a social cap for France trips but thats going to set me bck another £400.
So, am i getting a seriously good bivvy or just a very overpriced one?

I was going to get one of these myself but decided against it as just too low for my bad back. From what I have read they great bivvys but suffer severely from condensation. They just released a vapour shield you can fit inside of the bivvy that will solve this and it also has a built in led strip for lighting. Probably worth adding to the cart

Like they couldn't be bothered to do enough testing on an upgrade to ensure no condensation. These people are taking the piss and taking your money. For everyone's sake stop buying overpriced underdeveloped equipment. It shouldn't take version 4.0 to correct design faults. Especially not at these prices. I have trakker bivvies, I'm not buying another one unless they pull their finger, out, snd stop extracting the micturation from the ordinary increasingly impecunios punter. That arse hole trump has just wiped 20% off my pension. I'm going to have to give this hobby up soon if things don't change.

I am currently using a Nash Titan Hide XL Camo Pro with an internal vapour shield and it has never suffered from condensation. To be honest, i cant fault the Nash but i really need something that I can fit a social cap on and unfortunately Nash dont do them. Looked at the Frontier but they only do an extended cap which is too big.

Lol yeah the led looks tacky af. Can only assume in the flesh will be better on low white as photo shows individual leds a lot easier. They had to justify the £120 price tag somehow

I did actually watch that video yesterday and yes he's right. Not really a social cap, more of an extension. But thats really what im after, as will mean more room for me on French trips and somewhere to hang my disco ball in.

Yeah in all honesty with no front on condensation shouldn't really be an issue as technically the inside of your bivvy will be roughly the same temp as outside. Would love to know with the door on what the results are.
Either way as mentioned I do like the look of it and if it wasnt for the low height would of owned one myself so not knocking it at all was just quoting what others have said

Vapour shield won't stop it just cover it up. Plus also get it down sides. Needs an overwrap..I just think the material isnt as good or as thick as the aquatexx ev.

Yep to this. Had mine more than a year and its brilliant. No condensation, great space, quick to put up.
Not saying the Tempests aren't good but I do love my ultralite

It will still get condensation,you just won't be see it.If you pack bivvy away with vapour shield fitted and it's still damp it will end up wrecked.It will trap between the two layers and go mouldy

My mate has just bought a rs and i was surprised how thin and cheap the material looked compared to my ultralite 100. Some cracking deals on the ultralite with skull cap at the moment as well. Paid £500 for mine but seen them as low as £450 which is the bargain of the year with how much a top end bivvy costs these days.

I was after a tempet 100 aquatexx ev bivvy for ages. Keeping my eyes on sales etc as i refuse to pay what they wanted. Got the bivvy, skull cap and skull wrap, and pretty sure the mozzy mesh for £550 when angling direct sold them off cheap when the rs was due out.
Read a few stories about the material going funny when damp, but its been spot on for me.
They will no doubt bring out an improved material and add a few £100 to the price soon.
The new nylon tempest should br decent. That nylon on my 100 brolly v2 was decent, and dried really quick

I bought the RS Brolly as don't use a ground sheet and it works out cheaper; big for a brolly(massive) and looks good quality - i had a pioneer for a 1 wk before the spreader cracked.
I think the RS is currently the best available so went with that and would presume at some point an aftermarket company will bring out a upgraded ali spreader plate if there is a requirement.

I had a play in my garden. Its made well enough. The fabric doesnt feel as premium as what it sounds on the tin and its a bit low for a fat guy with a bad back but its really nice and compact in the bag for transport and really does set up in 5s.
Was impressed enough to buy the skull cap and insect panel too for it so now not so cheap anymore

Apologies, only just read this thread again.
I originally bought the RS150, skull cap, magnetic mozzie and social cap. It was massive. Used for a week in France and sold it when back in the UK.
Bought the 100 and would say it is pretty much the same size as my Nash, possibly a tad smaller.
Very nice bit of kit and love the magnetic mozzie mesh. Apparently, you can pack it down with the front and peak still on but i havent tried that yet. Think you have to leave the door unzipped?
Only reason i bought this was because I wanted the social cap and not the extension ike the Fox has.

Yeah I like it. Just bought the social cap too ha as its on sale for £280 thought why not. Might have to sell my T1 Pro to justify all this extra expenditure
