They have a new water in Essex that I believe is being kept quiet.

From what I seen its something they're asking you to sign up for ready for when they tell you what it is. My guess is its some sort of Club, like an online forum for advice, or discounts off tackle when you pay a monthly fee and sign up.

It's called 'Project Kookshot..'.

You can expect a whole range of hooks that come with additional weights on them and also weights that you can add yourself.

Makes sense, I'd imagine feedback from shops not having the room spawned that 1, though if it all shifts to AD size shops less of a problem.

Maybe there starting to look at the bigger picture. Looking at where retail is going and starting to bring it back in house.

I've had this email this morning.

20% off their clothing for a very limited time. Maybe they plan on pulling all of their clothing from stores. All my locals have very limited stocks of their clobber.

The website has very limited stock aswell in the popular size clothing

Other than a waterproof outer layer (and there's far better non angling stuff) I can never understand why anyone would buy branded 'angling' clothing.

Agree, unless you're given it for free, i would be embarrassed to be seen in fishing brand clothing.

£13 for a big man ting t-shirt isn't bad versus other big man brands. So signed up and stocked up 👍

Especially when It's mostly all made in the same sweat shops

Not necessarily all made in the same place and there is a lot of variance in the quality of the fabric and the garments construction.

All the main camping / outdoor brands cater well for that market but for fishing there are some differences (through customer feedback)but the challenge is volumes - so you are going to pay more.
If you want decent fishing stuff we live in the wrong country- USA & Canada where you will find the best stuff

The Noprth American market is huge so lots of variety. For the little bit of extra money I will take Patagonia or Arcteryx clothes due to their lifetime warranties - they are made to last, don't shrink & are super comfortable.

I have some Simms bits too - really fast drying, full UV protection, light & comfortable.

I don't own any korda gear so can't comment on their stuff but friends speak very highly of it - especially the waterproofs.

Ive never liked ANY carp company clothing. As said below I much prefer to use higher end camping/trekking kit. But out of all the brands about korda is knocking out some nice little bits at not too extortionate prices

To look like they think they should, branding/marketing power for you!
Like a lot of others on here, older anglers, branded gear wasn't really available years ago and when it did become available the only stuff I bought was the heavier winter 2 pieces.

I'm told the quality of fishing branded stuff is quite good now but personally if I do want to blend in (greens etc) I buy hunting/country/military wear as it's a far bigger market & better tested/fit for purpose.
Fishing companies see a opportunity and I can't blame them.

Looking at the website they are selling at RRP the same as the tackle shops. I have used the same shop for years and always get a good discount when I go in so for me cheaper to buy their.

A few years ago Korda had the 24/7 shop thing going on
You could buy from them and then the local tackle shop you nominated would get their share.
Maybe they going to cut out the middle man like jag and Aqua have in the main and go into selected shops?

I can remember that as I ordered a singlez system and they sent me the wrong buzz bars. The tackle shop told me to contact to Korda never got a reply from them but went into the tackle shop who then spent an hour trying to phone Korda to sort it out but again they didn't answer the phone to them. In the end the shop just swapped them.

I asked why they sent the wrong ones as I ordered the black set and they sent to stainless buzz bars, they said yes we did notice this but Korda wouldn't allow them to confirm orders with customers so they had to send what they were told to send
