Hi Guys, for the last season I have had Neville's MK 3 with receiver that i got a good deal on 2nd hand, they have been OK, my only issue is, even with a rubber washer - I'm scared to screw them tight in to the bank stick thread as i think the plastic will break, ffs why couldn't Neville's make this section of plastic thicker? cost would of been pennies! 
Anyways enough of me moaning
....if cash was no problem what would you recommend for the most reliable strong (3 rod setup) alarm & receiver???

This is going to an argument on here 🤣 I've had Neville's, fox nxtr, fox rx+, delkim txi pluses and now use txi-ds I change my gear a lot lol
tbh out of all of them I'd still pick the txi-ds I love mine and had them since they have come out without any problems at all, depends what you prefer tho mate like a lot of stuff in carp fishing
Anyway I'm going to grab the popcorn and watch the comments as people argue there alarms are the best and why 😂

No matter who makes the Alarm – anything that is mounted by a metal threaded mounting in a plastic case, if ever over-tightened it's going to fracture and stretch the plastic damaging it.
Simple remedy to stop over-tightening, fit thick Rubber Washer to allow you a degree of radial movement to line-up (As Gerry as suggested) OR fit Quick Release fittings under the Alarms so you never have to, plus your Indicator Bracket is always aligned, and you can align your Alarm instantly every time.

Wolf have got to be the best alarms on the market. Unsure of their reliability but no other alarm had the features it does. Vibration and wheel. and packed full of features
I'm a delkim user and wouldn't change. But if I had to I'd change to fox rx for looks or Wolf for the features

I love my Wolf Icon Q1's.
Takes a bit of getting used to when adjusting the settings for the prevailing conditions but I'm happy with them.

I must admit that I have been sold on the bite detection technology of the Nash sirens. After my delkim packed in during heavy rain 10 years ago I bought some Rs1s and they served me well until last year when I upgraded to the R4s. The indication by speed rather than distance or vibration is, for me, the best way to ensure my alarms sound every time I have a bite or line bite and never (alright hardly ever) if I don't.
That said for the features I use I don't think the R4s represent value for money and in fact two of the features I liked on the Rs1s have been lost/over complicated in the new alarms.

YES I bought a set of the first ones the Nash Siren RS1
especially for a trip to Morocco due to this huge 300 ft deep in places Lake Bin el Ouidane containing 12,900,000 cu ft of water with huge winds at times 2000ft up in the mid Atlas mountains
WELL GOTTA TELL YOU no other alarm at that time would come remotely close total perfection we had 2 storms one a proper one waves over a metre high smashing on the beach with 2 terrified italians on a tiny barren island not much bigger than 35 foot wide only just big enough for their 2 bivvies and their boat that the wind picked up it was a loaded inflatable with motor and sent it cartwheeling down the lake
they called base as the waves were so high the water was flooding over and running off the other side washing all their possessions away that wasnt held down straight threw their bivvies one was a none swimmer and thought he was going to die rescue pontoon boat tried to get to them but was blown backwards everytime they tried to open the throttle it just made the front lift up and nearly flipped it a couple of times only the skill of the driver reversing stopped it they finally got to them 16 hours later
anyway I digress
bottomline my pal was using Nevs and the constant rocking on the rollers drove him mad

Guys, thx for reply's, yeah for sure post about old buzzers that come up 2nd hand, my main criteria is * reliability * im not into fancy features on them, thats why i went with nev's, just simple to use, only other grip with nev's is why don't they have a TONE option?!

The best alarms I have had have been the cheapest ( Micron ES ) and most expensive ( RS+).
The ES were cheap as chips and utterly reliable.
The tart in me saw me replace them with a set of TXi +, which were great. As long as it wasn't the least bit damp. Delkim couldn't sort them out either.
Seeing the numerous comments on Delkim's Facebook page about unreliability of the Txi D's, It would take some serious persuasion to get me to swap my Fox RX plus's for anything else on the market.
Had them since they first came out and they have performed faultlessly, in all weathers.

They have never been anything other than completely reliable for me. Not had a single issue with them and they've been through everything nature can throw at them.

Although technically wouldn't be the best, without the much commented vibration sensing, and are long since unavailable, but my ideal would be a set of AVA's converted to work with a (wireless) remote.
Form over function maybe, but the best looking alarms ever IMO, I absolutely regret selling mine!

I bought a set of the new Fox Mini Micron X for a water where I needed cheap and cheerful with long range on the receiver.
Can honestly say I don't know what else you would need with a roller buzzer. Adjustable sensitivity, tone and volume. Drop back and colour change LED if you're into that. Nice and small, weigh nothing and so far have been completely reliable.
Makes me wonder what exactly the RX+ alarms do over these at 3 x the price?
I still use TXIs for most fishing as in general I like a vibration sensor, but cannot fault the little Fox units.

like a few people I have owned and used practically every make of alarm on the market since the invention of the Heron bite alarms and had all the delkim models apart from the very latest one
and I will stick with my TXIs never ever had seconds problem with any water and trust me I have been fishing in Europe in storms lasting a week where the rain has bought the lake up had to move it back twice !!!
the ONLY alarm I did not get on with was ATTs because I was fishing a rock hard water in France and runs are not often ! the line went down the side of the roller !! and it was by chance I got up for a pee by then the fish was other side and in a snag
I now have 4 sets of alarms left .........Delkim TXis,... JRC Radar CX ,...Nash Siren
and lastly a set of Prologic Bat+ Bite Alarms THESE REALLY IMPRESS ME ! Prologic have made some crappy alarms the previous model to this ( not the +) is to be avoided but these are great

and the most adjustable alarm going if you got more than 2 brain cells !!

I had a right laugh at the expense of a newbie Delkim owner the other week- he had bought a set 2nd hand of his mate (Who was also on the bank at the same time) One of the Alarms kept bleeping numerous times every few minutes, made the mistake of asking me what it was “ It's the inbuilt weather warning feature, it's going to rain either take them into your bivvy or put a cover over your Rods” keeping a perfectly straight face, previous owner chipped up “Quick before they get wet!”

I have some original Gardner TLB's. Never had an issue with them. This thread has served to remind me to buy some more batteries for them though.

I got one friend who on my recommendation bought a set 18 months ago when they first went down to £99 a set as backup to his underlit ATT alarms they are now his backups and uses the Bat + all the time
