Gardner one looks good but fleece. I have a none fleece quilted cover its ADvanta which is angling directs own make.. brilliant piece of kit..

I've got the warmest? (most expensive) of the Advanta covers. It's light, warm and big. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

but its a bedchair cover ? fair enough if it was a sleeping bag ? but its a cover to make your bag warmer thats what the guy asked for ?
and I certainly would not use it in the summer to sleep under by itself as its far too warm for that
I have had the Aqua non fleece but it dont come any where near
close to the sheer warmth and insulating properties of the gardner

Another vote for the ccp cover, nice and warm with a non-fleece lining. It is expensive though at nearly £90 Inc post
Probably no help, but the warmest one I found is the original fox fx flatliter thermal cover - very warm but thick fleece and bulky.

I've got the Gardner one and I think it's great. I've not had it long and have only slept under it on its own but that was nicer than being in a bag. I imagine in the colder months it'd be lovely as an extra layer.

The fox camo thermal cover is pretty good to, I only don't use mine no more because I upgraded my bag and don't need to use one to keep warm

Another for OG's recommendation. Bought one myself in the Autumn and im impressed with it. Noticeably warmer in my bag with it over. The other cover you might like to look at is the ventec VRS I think..its thick and breathable....more like a waterproofed duvet.

Hi. Its not a peachskin. its like a very tough nylon finish. smooth and fairly quiet. Nearest thing I could think of would be the material used on the old bedchair wellie wipes! Waterproof too.

I also agree with this I brought it on reccomndation from here and it's been brilliant the 2 times I managed to go out and fish, hopefully get a chance to use it with my new 3 season sleep system soon. When we can overnight and actually travel to my Syndicate.

I have had the Cotswold cover since it first came out - IT IS A BEAST
Ive had other variations in the past - trakker thermal, Aqua old and new versions, Nash shroud variations and the cotswold one is in another league
YES it is expensive with the addition of the clip in fur but its completely waterproof and breathable and a brilliant bit of kit
I can only compare against what I have had but I wouldnt swop the cotswold for alll of the others combined that I have had in the past

BUT the clip in Fleece is the game changer on the CA version it takes it from a thermal throw to a mega piece of kit thats really warm and effectively 3 season cover
I use the CA cover for 70% of my fishing on its own - then when it gets cold the snugpak fortis comes out

I can only give my thoughts and Ive had most of the others listed below except the gardner version so can only compare with them on a like for like basis and I would concur with this review below for the cotswold one

I've had a few different bedchair covers over the years but for the last 7-8 years been using a Colnemere Developments bedchair cover that I modified to attach a Snugpak Jungle Blanket. Cheap, weighs next to nothing, takes up very little space, warm, waterproof and coupled with a Gardner Sub Zero I'm covered for everything from the depths of winter to the rare tropical nights we see round here.

I have both the 4 and 7 Wychwood bags which in them selves are the best bags I've owned during my 35 years of owning bags sadly not available anymore.
My only requirement was to keep them clean and dry and the aqua does that extremely well.
So my input is absolutely useless. Going tomorrow so looking forward to being out.

Judging by this winter the need for thermal covers may be a thing of the past! I was wearing a T-shirt setting up Tuesday night and haven't had to put the 5 season top on all winter

Absolutely awful thing, sounds like it's made of tracing paper and isn't sherpa fleece, despite their claims. Sent mine straight back when I'd seen how poorly it was made.

I ordered an Edel Maya one (cheers Dickweed) - ive got a techlite bag which with both layers on is plenty warm enough for me, so i dont need a cover to provide any warmth - I need a waterproof cover to keep the bag dry and i dont think you can get much better than goretex for that.
I had cordura pockets and tabs fitted to the top corners (as per the wychwood tarp) so it can be propped up with a storm pole for overnighters under the stars, think she charged me an extra £5.
Very well made, great service and custom spec for just over £40 posted... hugely recommended!

Could an owner of the Edel Maya give me some dimensions of the standard size please. I know from the website that the box end is 33" wide and the overall length is 2.4m.

My cover ( the first one that they made) in terms of size is based on the aqua cover with an extra 10 cm in length on the head end. I sent my aqua one to Edel as they had never made one before.
Contact Kath at Edel if you need a bespoke size, she is very helpful and turns out some very good quality stuff.

No I ordered one and when it got delivered to the shop it was the wrong size.Gardner were showing it on back order on there system and it was going to take ages for delivery

I'm onto of my bag but under my Gardner cover now.
Raining anyway so saves putting warm.clothes on till later.

TBH I cant think of a way in which it could be improved !! from the generous amount of well placed quality clips to the waterproof breathable outer to the perfect balance of warmth from the pile underneath

I've had them all, as a dog owner & former Gardner consultant I had three of those ones for free. The Aqua was not bad, but expensive, I still purchased one when I could have others for free... as i lost my gardner one when my van was nicked
couldn't find another for sale,
so i ended up getting the korda bedchair cover, but got to be honest, i'm really impressed with the korda one,
and what i love, is i can zip of the fleece, and feels so soft, and light weight
i got it for £98
but love the look of the edel maya stuff

Korda haters won't accept it but the korda on is superb as you say a proper quality microfibra fleece and the outer material is very lite weight and soft.
