Sorry, I may have caused some confusion. I wasn't offering mine, just suggesting a possible source for some.

If you're still after some, I got some spare spools from Johnson Ross.

There's a product made for fly anglers called Xink (Ithink) to help flies and leaders sink. I've not used it on braid, but suspect it should work well. They also do a floatant version called Gink.

I have some Korum allrounders in 2.25 TC, and quite like them. I've only had a couple of moderate sized carp, but plenty of tench, on them but they've handled them well.

Totally agree on the service history BUT the worst cases of lieing, skimping or not doing paid for work have all been with main dealers. I now use a trusted back street garage for all my servicing and repairs.

I'd say one with fairly soft elastic. I like the Drennan revolutions with either orange or green elastic.

I would have thought a Shogun would be seen as pretty nickable, given it's association with ram raids etc.
I can't see the point of insurance groups, they are certainly no guide to premiums.
I've bought the Ford, good point was 64mpg coming home, against 30mpg going. Mines the 5 door car version with a lift up tailgate, though I expect the front end would be interchangeable with the van.

Should be changing my Shogun for a Ford grand tourneo connect this afternoon. I wanted something much cheaper to run, cheaper tax, better mpg and cheaper insurance, or so I thought. Shogun (group 31p) renewal 306, Tourneo (group 11e) renewal 361. I really don't know where they get their figures from. Both cars are worth a similar amount, in fact the Shogun would probably be worth more at retail prices.

If it's anything like the weight of my older power porter I think you'll struggle lifting it in on your own with the battery and wheel/motor attached.
With most SUV's the boot opening is not high enough to wheel it in up a ramp with much kit on it. I've got just over 1M height on mine and can wheel it in without the rods on, I do have to remove the front bar and set the Y bar fairly low.
