I have just tried to fit 3 x 10ft rods with Okuma Inc6000 into a Trakker NXG 3 Rod Sleeve (10ft) and I cant do the zip up without exerting tremendous force due to the tightness of fit.... Is this normal?? ... Surely it should be designed for this size reel (small pit)? (Its no different if i put 8000 baitrunners on intstead) .... Do these stretch a little in time or am i wasting my time ??

I have 10' Wychwood Extricator Plus rods with ss2600 on in my Trakker 3 rod sleeve and they fit. There seems to be plenty of room around the reels, but if your rod handles are longer or shorter than mine, then I guess that i could cause problems as there is not much room in front of or behind my reels. What is the distance between the butt cap and the stem of the reel?

About 56cm, .. They are TFG Compact Carp rods so slightly shorter handle than some rods i think .... It swallows the reels with space to spare but there is a pinch point above the reels where the zip of the sleeve struggle to meet ... im going to leave them in there for a few days and see if it stretches. I was surprised as not had this problem with holdalls/sleeves for years

Mine are only 53cm from butt cap to reel stem (yours are 58cm from what I can see), so I guees the problem is the length of the handle - or that Trakker didn't take into account that 10' rod handles differ a lot.

yep. seems they are longer than i realised in terms of the norm then ... Why is i that the things that should be simple turn out to be less so
.... Shame as the actual sleeve seems very nice

Yeah I found the trakker NXG 10ft 3 rod sleeve a tight fit when I had it the Sonik SK tek comapct 3 rod sleeve I found much better when I had my TF gear 10ft compact commercial rods in it

I found the same with the Cotswold Aquarius 9 foot 3 rod one even with small reels

I had the 10ft trakker rod holdall, sold it as struggled to get my 10ft rods in, got the Wychwood rod holdall, better but not great

I had the Cotswold one too, it was garbage. Can't understand why people still go on about how great the ‘quality' is. Maybe 20 years ago, but there is better stuff out there these days.

Got the same rod holdall and reels and have exactly the same issue. Ditched the rod bag and switched to a quiver. Was disappointed to say the least in the Trakker offering as basically did not go the job it is designed to do

i dont get shocked often with such poor products ... but this really is a basic of all basic flaws ... im surprised Trakker got away with it ..... Anyways mine going throught the stretching process as we speak ... If no joy it will work great on my 10ft coarse set up (smaller reels and shorter handles)

I don't think trakker is alone in this. I looked at / researched several hold-alls before buying my Sonik compact and was surprised at the poor designs out there.
The Sonik is well thought out with plenty of pockets, up and down layout, long reel sections to accommodate different reel positions and enough straps to make it into a compact package when loaded.
Quite simple things but nothing that the other brands couldn't achieve with a bit of thought
Definitely recommend it assuming your stretching doesn't work.
