Had a break from fishing from the mid to late 90s to the early 2000's.. And was quite surprised to find everyone was carting there gear around on purpose made Barra's. The days of multiple trips to the swims was over thankfully.
I know these barrows evolved from actual wheelbarrows. But who produced the first commercially one? I know Carp porter have been around for ever. But we're they the actual first.. Something is telling me Solar produced one in Stainless. God knows how much that would of weighed.
Does anyone remember the bed chair barrow hybrid Trakker produced. I think Frank Warwick was the face behind it.

i did similar .... i finished having used a match fishing trolley, carrying an argos sunbed/50" brolly, 1.75lb rods and Shimano Seaspins ....
.... and came back to find posh barrows available ie Carp Porter MK1/Mk2, Chub Transporter 2000 barrow
Trakker bedchair barrow came along a bit later and still occasionally see them on eBAY

Solar did indeed make a stainless barrow and I have one. It was left to me when we lost Ian Booker.
I spoke to Martin about it last year and he said that only ten were made.
It's actually nothing near as heavy as you might imagine it would be.

Martin even sent me a letter to authenticate it.
I've hardly ever used it and will sell it at some point in the near future.

I did think of putting fish on the list but thought...its Andy..no point 
I'm not up on breeders but for some reason baby Carp keep coming up on my FB feed, some stunning fish out there!

Chub Transporter was my first - heavy for its size but built like a tank! Still use the supplied elasticated straps to this day and amazed they haven't perished!

It can also be configured so that the wheel sits under load area. It's a pretty clever design the way it folds. I didn't take a picture of it folded.

You can see where the red bar pivots, the blue ends will rotate, then the wheel is under the weight.

How mad is that, ditto, but I didn't think it was that heavy, mine had the wheel that folded backwards. I wish I hadn't of sold it tbh, it was a great day/river session barrow. That Solar barrow isn't too dissimilar, love the single wheel leg, reminds me of motorbikes.

I had a Chub transporter. That was my first ever barrow, when they very first came out. Have to agree, they were not that heavy. Every barrow I've had since weighed more.
I had that barrow for absolutely donkeys years. I only got rid of it in 2013 when I fished Roach. Same tyre which got filled with tyre weld, and never got a puncture.

My mate has only just got rid of his Chub transporter ,done some miles that porter did..
I like the Solar one in the pics ,I'd be on the Autosol with that one ! Clever design ,no paint loss to worry about..
Also,Andy NEEDS ,some Aqua carp from Chris ..
