So Terry Hearn joined Sticky months ago but there has been nothing heard from him on the bait front. From a marketing point of view it would make sense for Sticky to have his face plastered over all their products as he will generate a lot of business for them. But oddly everything is quiet - wonder if the deal has fallen through?

The fact that Terry left Dynamite to join Sticky is advertising enough really.
Promo material is, or has already been done.

Probably amongst the small print off the deal is Terry wanting to carry on, as he was, quietly catching them without too much interference from excessive marketing stuff. Just IMHO.

He's not listed on the sticky team on the site either so you may have a point there. And to the second poster, he has used his name and face in a lot of adverts for esp rods and dynamite bait etc hasn't he so not sure that's why? Oh and jrc stuff he used his name on. Maybe they're just waiting to bring out a new super duper bait called manillhearn.

On the esp Facebook page he was using a test bait from sticky

Am I alone here but I'm not really interested in what sponsorship deals named anglers have.
I'm sure Mr Hearn and the others would catch well on whatever bait they use.
Just because they catch well on a certain bait firms bait doesn't mean I will, they catch more because they are better anglers than I am.

Yep I totally agree. Most sponsored anglers aren't using the bait anyway. Even if they are using the boilies, loads of them either use hookbaits from other companies or tigers. I personally don't take any notice. Terry would catch fish whatever he uses, as would any of the other names, because they are dedicated, make or have loads of time and are bloody good anglers. I'm very happy for Terry, but it won't be making me buy any sticky bait.

The fact Terry is using there bait is all the marketing they need. No need to plaster his face all over there products. No doubt Sticky have something up there sleeve filming wise with him. Probably centered around there new bait they have coming out, the Legacy i believe its called. They will use him exactly how ESP use him. And that's exactly how he wants it. Less is more.

Don't stick baits own thinking anglers tackle I'm surprised they haven't got him onto the TA stuff yet unless he's sticking with ESP as he's been with them for years

To be honest that wouldn't bother me that much, neither would ESP's new bankware as I'm happy with my existing.
Could my bankware be improved? probably but I'm not getting on that merry-go-round, once you're on it, it's hard to get off

Maybe I'll take a look at the video though, I'm intrigued by the shoes

Hash tag, twitter trending....Terrys shoes..I can imagine his face and what he might think but he'd be too nice to say it.

We're assuming they're his and not a prototype, his jumpers were lauded!

Apparently Legacy is supposed to be a really good bait, pretty sure it will be as they are top of the tree in terms of off the shelf bait.

But don't all companies release a bait and then claim it's “DONE” wonders in testing and it's “THE”next best thing

I wasn't blown away by it to be honest. But I saw it at its early stages. I believe it's not even the same colour anymore.

Not seen this new bait apart from a few pics. " The Legacy " Judging by the name I'd imagine it some sort of Robin red fishmeal bait with a shellfish type flavour maybe with a fruity back note. A big fish bait that was very popular a few years back. And still is with a few anglers.

As for Tells choice of footwear. You get to a certain age where you go for comfort a functionality over fashion.

Maybe Terry is under a restrictive covenant with Dynamite meaning he can't actively promote another firm for X amounts of months after leaving the Dynamite stable?

Seems unlikely or they wouldn't have been able to post anything at all so far.

I just felt that terry probably has an agreement that he will do minimum advertising for them. I just expect one video with him in a year.

Wouldn't be at all surprised if it was a squid bait and agree with the fruity back note

I remember mainline doing a fishmeal / fruit bait in the 00's. Was it's called pulse or fusion something like that

One of those smelt of cat pi55 and the other one was a sort of meaty smell from memory. Didn't rate either one of them. Seems like no one else did either cos both now long gone.

Dynamite baits say they've reduced the price of their baits due to reduced overheads and new suppliers, say their baits might be a slightly different colour than old due to European laws on colourants. I remember when baitcraft did this, the baits were never the same again. But dynamite are also advertising for a media person to help push their product placement.
