Anyone seen or purchased these yet, honest opinions would be welcomed, warmth and comfort the main priorities, and as theres often a fair bit of walking involved in my winter fishing, nothing too bulky. Tia

they've literally hit the shops this weekend, you'll be hard pushed for a good.user review especially with the temps not really dipped low yet either

Fingers crossed they will be ok as they seems to hit the mark in all ways especially price point

Oops, didn't realise this, anyrate anyone's first impressions.

Got a pair of these in the week, as I was always impressed with the polar trousers. No side pockets on these. But they seem decent. The sizing I went for a medium I'm 13 stone 5.10 34/5 waist. I'd fit thermals underneath ok but if I wanted a fleece underneath like the currant trend I'd needed a large.

I'd say they're too bulky / warm over longer distances. I'd only be putting them on after getting all my gear set up knowing I'll be static for a while.

Wore mine friday and very comfortable stretch type fabric, warm as well as I was just in a t -shirt til 5pm. Noticed there sized 32 waist inside. There certainly not, think these are all sized up for under gubbins

What would you wear underneath just a base layer?

Not sure I'd be wearing your salopettes while walking, put them on when your when your going to be static. If it's really cold and I'm static I''ll wear thermal combats under them and if I'm really feeling it I'll have a skins layer under them. If your intent on walking in them worth having a look where the seam is, if there's stitching, it's raised and on the inside leg I've found that the 1st place to fray/go through.

I haven't got any, but yes point taken about walking, not sure if they're suitable for a long trek to the swim.

I do like the look of these but there are a couple of things that put me off salopettes in general....

Stripping them off before bed, then getting up for a run in your thermals or whatever you have on underneath for a run and it's pissing down, (yes I know you could sleep in them but you end up sweating which is then counter-productive the next morning when you get cold)......i prefer to take the thermals off before bed and put a water repellent pair of trousers on to sleep in, that way if it is raining when you get up in the night you are fine...

And the other thing with salopettes is stripping them off to have a sh!te.....

you could always wear a nappy

....I hear you about the run in the night thing - but, in my experience sleeping bags work best with minimal layers on. I do however often sleep in combats or just shorts. Its its really cold then thermals at most - but anything else stops the bag working as effectively as it should.

If there's a chance of rain, I usually have my poncho ready to throw over if I'm making a swift exit. That keeps the worst off, but you still get a bit wet. I just resign myself to the fact I'm getting wet and change into something dry when the excitements over. Just means taking plenty of dry things to change into - I keep a few pairs of boxers/socks/tee shirts in a dry bag for that eventuality - and I always have a couple of towels - one for slime fish hands, the other for drying myself off.

I use the snugpak sallopettes, and it's rare that i need anything other than shorts in them. If I get a take in the night, so long as I've got a jacket/fleece to hand it's fine. I might pop the salopettes back on once it's landed.

Short term, uou dont really need to keep your legs warm, after all, how often do you see a postie wearing trousers.....

Just bumping this up.

Any more reviews? Particularly interested in sizing...

I used mine last weekend. I am 16st 7lb and 5ft 10, they fit me perfect, if a tiny bit on the long side. They are pretty good, but the insulation is not that thick, below 4 degrees I would wear thermals with them. The cut is really nice, I like them.

They are not overly bulky and you can easily wear them in bed - sod taking them off, what's all that about!

Had the max 4 ones years ago. Pain in the arse everything you wanted a pee you had to strip down to take them off.

The korda ones have a double zip so you can unzip from the bottom.

I've had the korda salopettes for a year and they have been great. Not been cold whatsoever in them. As for having a p1ss as someone said you can zip up from the bottom end. As for a number 2 as with all salopettes you can pull them down and pull forward it's that simple. If people struggle with that they need adult potty training lol but seriously the korda salopettes are great IMO and get the sizing bigger than you think you need as I did return my first ones for a bigger size

What size would people recommend for 38 waist ?

XL should be OK but size up to XXL if you want a jacket underneath rather than just a hoodie

Yes, went from the Fortis tundra to the Korda for exactly that reason, the tundra, although waterproof were very wide legged and short on me, the Korda in a large are much narrower and at least reach my ankles 🤣
Prefer them narrow as easier to get in chesties or wellies.

Good point about the waders,the legs on ones I tried were ridiculously long though

I'm 5ft10 and 13 1/2 stone recently bought the xl version they were huge, so ended up swapping them for a Large which seem perfect. Can't complain for the price, proof will be in pudding this winter......

Recent impulse purchase on these - I'm 6'1" 16 Stone and went for 3XL (with the intention of layering a thick fleece under) and they were massive and ridiculously long - Swopped for 2XL (which I also have in Drykore) and they were much better. Don't mind the narrower legs as you can wear them inside wellies (with calf adjusters open)

I was in exactly that same boat as you pal. I stuck with the larger size as have a wide set of boots where they fold into, but agree they seems excessively long in the legs.

However overall I'm extremely happy with mine, literally jut wear some thermal leggings underneath

What tempted me was the 'free' bag of goodies it came with . . .however other than the spare caty pouch and set of emergency stows most of it is surplus to requirements!

One of the best fishing purchases I've ever made, and I'm not a big Korda fan.

I'm 6ft 6, 12st 3 and buying any warm clothing is a 'mare as generally too bulky and short.

I went with the large, and they fit perfectly. I get cold so I will always wear long john's (M&S) top and bottoms underneath.

I'm ok walking to swims with them and don't over heat, as I'm never in a rush.
