Obviously I don't fish waters with big carp in them so my targets are very modest but for me enjoyable
My targets this year are
30lb plus mirror from my local canal(crap last 2 years due to covid and weather)
Another 20 out of a lake I've already had one out from as I think there's potential there for bigger fish
Another 20 for 4th year in a row
And me and 2 guys I work with have a competition going on who can catch the biggest carp between 1st January and December 31st we all put money in a pot and winner takes it,I'm in lead at minute with an 18:12 common last month.
So what's everybody's targets this year and good luck to everyone too

Firstly to enjoy the peace and getting away from it all, then a bend in the rod is enough for me. My mates go on about the biggest fish they've caught here and France. Personally I'm happy with doubles up to what ever in the lake.

To not buy so much pointless ***** I don't need, alot of advice about on here has lead me to some quality products which I won't be replacing for a long time.
Catch fish is all I care about for targets, if they look nice all the better

And gagging to get back to the Labyrinth in France this October after too many cancelled trips these last 2 years)....

My only target is to enjoy each fishing trip,and just to be in the countryside, away from all the crap modern society brings with it
(I've just had a huge trout earlier on ,8lb,biggest on the bank I have witnessed so far,on a Ringers bait as well)...

My main one is to get more fishing don e- new job without on call duties should make this possible.
I'd also love to get a second 30, had my first last year at 36 and buzzing to try get another one or two.
Lastly my dog has just turned 1 and is still a little bit too pup like for fishing - hoping by the end of the year I can take him for a few day sessions.

Not really into targeting a surtan carp as in the past I've found i didn't appreciate the one's along the way. Definitely going to be doing more fishing this year going to make more of an effort to get the rods out is my target for the year ahead

You know what, just to get out more than last year and previous years, being a single dad and with my daughter turning 16 last year, this year and health permitting, I'm targeting most weekends when my misses isn't around (that's every other week) plus 5 no 4 or 5 day sessions between May and September on a beautiful very well maintained willow lined commercial full of really nice cats and carp.
By god I'm counting down the days, big bait order goes in with CCM in a few weeks time and I'm practically ready. Even on target for shedding 3 stone by the end of March so there's a good chance I'll be able to fit in a pair of Korda kecks that are 5 years old

My targets just to get out at some point before September. Life changes so quickly... had a horror accident and had to learn to walk again... taken best part of 4 months and still have a limp..i probably won't make a full recovery to previous levels but god willing i will ok for walking and jogging fingers crossed..alot of water to go under bridge yet might take 1 to 2 years doctor says. tightlines for all those who catch some.. put them back for me .

I don't like to set targets in any aspect of my life, but if pushed for an answer I'd like to catch my first UK 40. There is nearly 25 fish over that mark in my new syndicate so I think it's achievable.

Just to get out and do a bit of fishing. I always have so much I want to do each year (I fish for all sorts) but never get anywhere near as much in as I would like. It's my second season on a lovely syndicate. I managed two last year and was over the moon so hopefully I'll see a bit of progression there.
Oh, and to sell as much of the masses of unused tackle in my shed as possible and not buy any more!!

I mean... a bit 'too soon' but very funny
My target is as a few others. To get out and fish. Hopefully with a good mate of mine, schedules permitting. And a few quiet trips by myself to escape from the ever increasing stress of the day to day

Right now just to get on the bank. Been out once this year and planned to go every week but it goes t1ts up last minute every time.
Other than that I just plan to enjoy my time on the bank. A fish is a bonus.

Personally, I don't have targets. I fish to enjoy myself,and my surroundings,not beat myself up for failing to catch one of the 'A' team. That and avoid all the eejits that plague society these days.
Anything above 25lb is my next hotel, however I enjoy being on the bank all the same regardless of the size I'm catching

No targets, just some peaceful fishing away from others as much as possible, especially the 'slab of stella crowd' and the 20year old with all the gear who knows everything.

Fishing a new pool tonight straight from work got rods and bucket with me ready,had all commons for last 2 years so after a nice pretty mirror not bothered about size,and I'm excited to be trying out this new pool only seen it once from the road but a lad who I work with fishes it nothing big maybe 20 pounds that's it but some nice looking mirror in there.

Hitting the rivers. My syndicate doesn't float my boat anymore. Look for more of the unknown not a fish everyone's had and has a name. It'll be hard but nice to get away from the bloke opposite picking his nose
