To be fair i dont think many people had an issue with the concept - i think it was the fact it was gas powered!

im not sure we do .... It wasnt the concept so much but the fact his version was run from a gas bottle which differs to the Nash one which is battery ..... I actually think if someone can master heated elements in clothing and sleeping by battery it is a game changer and i would welcome with open (and warm lol) arms

Yep Avid i think were one of the first to bring anything like this to market, however effective/reliable battery heated clothing/bedding is a pretty big step forward (alright, not as momentus as the moon landing lol)

Nothing impressive about being uncomfortable or cold .... I started with a 45" brolly and an argos bedhchair so have been there done it, and see little reason not to be comfortable (or at least warm) nowadays .... Im not a fan of many things in modern carp fishing but keeping warm isnt one of them. Bring it on I say

Don't get the purpose of an heated blanket. I'd have thought there would be a market for a 5 season blanket though.

If you stay dry a hot water bottle is all you need. Nash will even sell you one with a cover for about £25. Or get a nice big one with cover of your choice for a lot less elsewhere.

Audew have been doing heated blankets for yonks,and you can set the temp,orignaly for your car passengers . they go for about 15 -25 pound.

As Halfcentury says below, just put a hot water bottle in the bottom of a sleeping bag job done, never saw the need for an electric blanket.

Another big rip off been carp fishing over 40 years never needed one a good bag is what you need then there be no need to contact Nash customer services when it don't work

its not like we even get any proper winters these days when was the last time you went fishing and the lake froze over ??with todays clothing and foot wear quality bags and covers never any need to be cold in this country IMHO

Yes Gerry's right I remember 1963 when the sea froze and I see very long icicles hanging from guttering ice on in side of bedroom windows no central heating standing in short trousers waiting to go to school really don't see any need for electric blankets tackle companies run out of ideas

£4.99 hot water bottle from the local shop is fine for me. It's bright blue so not “carpy” (as they say) in the slightest but I really don't care.
£20 for a nash cover - no thanks

To be fair it's a hobby if you want to sit they all night under a brolly or be surrounded in luxury being fed by your favourite sex pets (Louise, Sarah and Katie) that's fine what ever floats your boat.
