I'm a bit fussy with my pillows, they need to be quite big. Has anyone experimented with the travel pillows that people use on the plane?

At the moment I take two pillows and it's still not enough. I can't take any more or I'll need another barrow

I use shredded memory foam pillows at home and got another one just for fishing.

I got my missus to make me a pillow case out of an old green fleece and I put my snugpak sasquatch in it for a pillow.

Fox camolite one isn't too bad. Flexes back into shape and has a different cover on both sides so you can be a bit choosy

I was thinking of this but my memory foam pillow is bloody weighty . . .!

Trakker XL pillow is pretty good . . .if you need more elevation stuff a puffa underneath it . . .

My shredded ones are far lighter than some of the big branded solid memory foam

Ps for years I used to just use my jacket as a pillow, then tried an inflatable one which I hated, then the little pillow from my sleeping bag folded over and then a free pillow that came with my carp bed. However, never looked back since taking a proper pillow

I bought a Nash pillow. Then realised I prefer sleeping without it. Now my pillow weighs precisely f*** all. .

I use a little memory foam pillow shaped to your neck.. It's a travel one and is comfy as started getting sore shoulders when fishin 🤷🏻‍♂️.. This definitely reduced it slightly, however when it's cold the memory foam fails to expand again, so it's rubbish in the winter.. Not sure if this is the case with all memory foam pillows, I suspect so.. Never seen a temperature warning on one 😂.. Guessing they expect bedrooms to be warmer than a brolly

Why not just buy two or three good inflatable pillows which will take up little room to carry and then use your normal pillows on top of them.

Since I love sleeping and need to sleep well to have a good day, I always use giant pillows no matter where I go. I usually go for at least one amazon body pillow , or if I'm not home, I am glad about any other body pillow. The best thing about them si that they make you feel like you're always sleeping with someone, and it comforts your body in the best way possible. Moreover, they are made from such a good material that they keep you cool even on those hot summer nights, which is more than perfect.

I've used an inflatable one this year, once you get used to how much to blow it up so it's comfortable it's been brilliant

Same here, had it bought for me and used it with some trepidation but was surprised just how comfortable it is. Previously I just used any old cushion.

I'm not giving it a whole hearted recommendation, as a pillow that suits one may be hated by others, but I find it OK.

I use this one. It has a strap that goes over my bedchair so it doesn't move in the night

Military clothing is a whole lot better than a lot of carp taxed fishing clothing.
Trousers and jackets already impregnated with mosquito repellent, withstand tears and undergrowth.

To heck with buying a carp tax branded pillow, cheapest I've seen is the Gardner or Advanta at around £13, correction, just seen the Ultimate at £9.
Damned if I'm paying £30 for a Nash one!

You can get a pair of pillows from a supermarket for £5 and a pair of green pillowcases for the same.

You maybe missed a hint of sarcasm in my post Nick. Of course military clothing is decent for fishing. It's made to wear while fighting in a war, should stand up to sitting under a damp brolly drinking tea.

I kind of missed it intentionally, cos I do wear a fair bit myself

Fishing for chub on the river in Norfolk the past few weeks my MTP combats have come out again as the mozzies have been so bad, and with Avon Skin so Soft being pretty ineffective...

I do take offence at sitting under a damp brolly drinking tea though , much preferring coffee myself
