Both are decent enough but expensive compared to places like abs

Not a huge amount no as I roll my own, but I've used them a couple of times. Buy any bait from a reputable company and you will be fine, where you put it is far more important

I have used the live system in autumn/winter and have caught reasonably well, friend of mine uses the tuna and appears to catch well on it.

For some reason I never did very well on CC Moore,I really rate sticky baits krill and DNA S7.I hear very good things about ABS,I have some hydra k bobbers(wafters)from ub baits and have caught on them.I think value you for money DNA take some beating with their bulk buy deals

A mate of mine loves the sticky krill too.

He does well on them. Usually does better than me when we fish together ...

... but I am a bit crap

I started using DNA a few seasons ago, the main reason i went over was to try the S7 after reading such good reviews, i still use the S7 but find i actually prefer the SLK. All there baits are good so pick one you fancy, or take them up on the bulk offers and get a selection.

Do you seem to catch the better fish on the SLK

I do TBH, one of my syndicates is a difficult water and the SLK has really done the business this year....

Multiple catches in 24hr sessions which is practically unheard of... rod hours to fish caught i think I'm well in the lead.

I haven't caught the most fish, but i can only do 1 or maybe 2 24hr sessions a month and some lads are doing 10-15 nights a month and i have caught more than a few of them....

Another one for dna s7, dna slk or sticky krill all 3 are very good baits, I'm another one that hasn't done to good on cc Moore tbh and I don't really rate them they seem a bit cheap to me even when you break them open or taste them. Much better bait out there in my opinion yes they catch fish but most bait will if placed in front of a hungry carp

I use a lot of cc moores products in my bait and I've never had an iffy batch of any of it. I'd use any of their products.

I think I'd personally use cc moores over sticky these days. They seem a bit of a one trick pony to me these days. Not doubt the original krill was a great bait but the active krill hasn't been around long enough for me to be totally proven like live system for instance.

I have happily used the slk and s7.

Another for Live system. I started using it in autumn last year and managed to catch throughout winter on a tough winter water. Switched to the Odyssey XXX for summer and struggled so went back to Live and the bites started again. As has been said before, would take it pretty much anywhere and be confident

Used Pacific Tuna and did well. They use one or two Haith's products, which could be why their baits are so effective!

My findings with Pacific Tuna.

A mixture of fish hydro, betastim and minamino generally roughly equal amounts of each, just enough to give them a coating

Even if true. We are talking about food for fish that eat other fishes excrement. I doubt if out of date human grade food is likely to be a problem for them.

They aren't likely to be the only bait company doing that.
I can think of at least 2 more who do that who are based in Essex.

I know the account manager who supplied all leading bait companies & suppliers with Soya flour. Some were only after quality stuff and some only wanted the cheapest / sub human grade stuff.

I've worked in a factory that produces milk powder.
There is actually a difference between out of date stuff and animal grade (cheap stuff)

For example: milk powder that was spilled on the floors was graded as animal grade while it has the same 'out of date' as the non spilled powder. Due to this is was cheap as chips but. It doesn't mean is going rancid soon.

Yes any floor waste not just milk powder should be removed from the human food industry and depending what it is can go back into the animal feed chain

CC moore as animal feed suppliers as well as bait producers are meticulous when it comes to the quality and freshness of ingredients they use, I've witnessed this first hand. They are one of the few that are heavily regulated and are inspected regularly in the industry. I hope by making these potentially damaging comments you have some hard facts to back it up

I can't comment from first hand within factory, however, I can honestly say no matter what boilie brand I go to, I always end up reverting back to CC Moore, to be honest, I don't know why I keep changing. The quality is superb and my catch rate is always decent when using them compared to other brands

I always did ok on ccmoore. Used live system for a year or two and then used the equinox for about 5 years. That was a fantastic bait that worked everywhere. I did have a few slightly inconsistent batches but nothing horrendous

They stopped making equinox 3 or 4 years ago so i went elsewhere and ive got no real interest in anything else that they produce

A mate of mine swears by sticky and does pretty well on the krill.

Both very expensive, both will catch you fish

If you want to spend that sort of money and you aren't feeding your own fish, id just use cell and be done with it (i dont, but if cost and content was no issue, i would)

I've never used a CCMoore bait... But we have used a few of their products over the years. Formally a lot of egg albumen (expensive gear) & tiger nuts, pink dye which goes into our pink S2, and yellow dye which goes into our S4.

The alb was ALWAYS the highest quality, never any change whatsoever in quality. A big thing for me. The tigers, although expensive (even trade) are the cleanest you could find. You will never see a weevil hole in a CCMoore tiger. I like them for my own fishing. When only the very best will do.

Them and to be fair BAF too, are both very very good in terms of consistency, freshness and quality of product. We use a lot of gear, far more than a home bait roller ovbs. If there was a problem with out of date or poor quality ingredients, we'd have seen it.

I've seen it plenty of it from elsewhere.

How soft do Live System users find the bait. I haven't fished for a little over a year for various reasons but was last using Live System freezer baits and never found them (15mm) particularly soft.

I caught on the matching pop ups consistently but struggled on the freezer baits. I have used and seen softer shelf lifes so was surprised and disappointed when I made the switch. Is this normal for the range or did I perhaps get unlucky with my bundle.

CC Moore can't be faulted for their packaging etc which adds to the impression of quality when receiving an order.

Think it's my 4th year on Pacific Tuna, 2 years freezer bait and last two years shelf life and IMO no difference whatsoever, however, it's a good bait and I will be going with it again next year. Personally I think the bait used in combination with their liquid additives is spot on

Slipped up a bit this year not ordering enough but have a look at their bulk deals and I think once your over 20kg it's less than £7/kg which for a quality bait like this is good value IMO.

I have a friend who uses CC moore stuff. He was on tuna and didn't catch much. Now on Live System and blanking. Funny as he was top rod on a different bait last year.

I think that will be down to the water as such, I've seen it work both ways, with some waters shying off a bait after a while (possibly just overused), but more often that I've tried to change to a different (normally cheaper if I'm honest) bait then switched back to CC Moore and found my catch rates improved.
