Chaps. I'm bored out of my mind!!! I've started to create a venue list of places fished and new venues I'd like to try. I've also created a list of meals for the bank, need to upgrade from pasta n sauce! Also joined the Angung Trust. What are you all doing to keep sane?

Ah yes fishing, I remember that...just. Been out for the odd sesh but wifey works for NHS so I'm single parenting most of the time. Also reading all of Terry's books in reverse order.

Been helping a friend design a new 10,000 koi pond which is probably going to cost the best part of 40k.
That's quite interesting, just need someone to build it properly now.

Walking my dog along the local river and round the park lakes, usually 4 or 5 miles minimum each morning, and a couple of miles every evening.
I have also built two new pike rods as well as respooled every reel with new line or braid, and restarted my model building. So far in 1:48 scale built and painted Focke Wulf 190, Spitfire, Hawker Harrier Falkland Islands FRS1. I do have a Junkers Ju87b and Messerschmitt BF109 to do yet.
Add in probably too much time on Facebook as well, sorted...

Buying stuff i dont really need, was booked for a days session fishing tomoz, but as the lake will be frozen over, i am gonna put some ice washers in my spools, change the line clips and give them a mini service..nothing major..just a good clean and a little spot of grease and oil in a few places.... just follow the Alan Hawk reel service Guide, i try to do this every 3 months or so.....
I might respool my spod and marker reels , but wanna save something for next weekend

Done shed loads of decorating last year so not much to do in that respect around the house... built a new garden gate last weekend..just need to hang it, but again want to save this for another day when I'm bored....

. . .rediscovering the pleasures of river fishing . . .also being addicted to the digital watercams now available (I'm usually looking at ski lift cams at this time of year - fkn covid) and watching the levels on the Avon rising and falling . . .its a new exciting daily addiction . . .

I'm a scale modeller, so never an issue with burning time for me. Been doing it since I was a lad and now am pretty much a professional at it - have done quite a bit of commissioned work in recent years, so also make money from it, albeit it'll never pay the bills. I used to display at conventions and write articles for a few magazines, but nowadays I do it mainly for myself or the odd request from old customers - mostly that's 1/48 WW2 aircraft and 1/35 armour. Usually a project can take several months to complete, but right now, it's weeks. Requires massive attention to detail, skill and patience, but very rewarding when you produce something so special

Working like I have been since this all started, had two weeks off since September 2019 and managed to get away to Scotland touring on the bike. Can't see being allowed to tour abroad for at least two years maybe longer.

I like to make things for my fishing, bobbins, tables, monkey climers (way back), my version of the Ronnie rig components and a rod pod, the pod is not perfect yet, so, I change the legs, then the rear butt rests, now the buzzer bar, what about the length? ah yes change that too, after a day on the lathe and Fannying around with all the bit n bobs....I put it back together as it was 6 years ago, bloody sad ain't it

oh and I polished the lip on 3 of my spools so when I cast there is much less resistance, BTW the furthest I have to cast is about 40/50 yds.

Been buying kit. As I live in Slovakia I'm able to fish if I want nights too. But seen as it was minus 17 c last night don't think that will be happening. Funny thing is I can go fishing but it's frozen but can't take my snowboard to the ski centres as they have closed them . Bored out my nut

Next time your racing let me know and I'll try and get to the track on the bike, may even get a few mates to come if we can find accommodation that does good food and beer. Have a four bed house sorted on the Isle of Wight if the tt goes ahead.

Been cancelled for two years now, still trying to get my money back from a payment I foolishly paid up front on my bank card in 2019, then agreed to carryover to 2020 which is cancelled again. Lesson learned, credit card in future.

I'll second that. Due to sheer boredom I find myself browsing the online fishing shops much more than I would normally. New rods, reels, bivvy, bags and all manner of other fishing bits and bobs keep turning up at our door,to the bemusement of my wife

Ive got so many gigs I've paid for but cant get refund as they keep re-arranging them,
Worst one was tickets i bought, then work meant I would be away so sold, only for the work thing to be cancelled. I wont get the money for the tickets I sold until after the re-arranged gig has happened. Still, at least a nice refund to me in 2029!

We are held to ransom with some Leeds Festival tickets, same as carried over
I have an hotel overnight and spa booking too
Not to mention this years holidays, hopefully might get something in this country but I expect it to be mental everywhere if things open up again!
And all I really want to do is go fishing, preferably in some warmer weather!

Working from home but not a spare second vs normal years. All my colleagues that normally travel are now sat at home sending me emails. Upside is that lockdown is flying by.
I'm quite jealous of those who have time to be bored, I seem to be as busy as ever, and am regularly doing little jobs on the way home too.
Plus I'm finding a lot of people struggling with isolation want work doing just for some company. I can come into your house and fit a new kitchen but you can't have a mate over for a drink

Fishing days where I can and prep prep prep. Soaked hookbaits, sharpened loads of hooks. Got 12 rigs tied in the rig board. Reduced tackle bags into what I need. Lots of pre baiting and leading between days. Also working from home with my wife and juggling a 2 year old! Fun fun fun!

I visited Slovakia a few times many years ago ,i was seeing a girl there , i had a great time skiing in the Higher Tatras i stayed in Poprad , you could buy a lift pass for around £6 for a week , beer was 15 p per pint and i had a hire car for £25 per week , it was a skoda though , when skoda's were shi*e . good times !

I do enjoy it here . Close to so many good lakes , when I can travel . Managed to take my board out today but because the ski lifts aren't working I walked my board up there . Managed it twice and now I'm laying on the sofa in pieces hahahaa
