Yes still a top notch reel but the new version has just came out. Same reel but matt black paint job. Ive used them for years and there my favourite reel a long with the original iso's. I wonder if theres a new iso coming out?!

Not keen on the all black iso's myself they look cheap. The original was the best looking carp reel going imo. Daiwa seem to be going back to putting a bit colour on there reels again with the new basia and new whisker 20 (castizm replacement) still matt black though.

Just had another look and they do have a bit of a sheen to them but not like the original iso's or castizms. I must be old school as i like shiny things.

Got daiwa certate hd's on my basia barbel rods and the castizms are on my 2.5 century graphenes. The certates are in a different league altogether over the castizms or any other carp reel that ive owned. Daiwa dropped a bit of a bollock with the basia reel seats as there only 16mm so to small for the castizms reel foot.

Mate of mine ordered Cast'izm, shopping cart said 18 more in stock and he ordered 2 reels , he paid via sofort, money has gone from his account and now get to hear from AD that he will not get the reels because of out of stock and will get his money back...
Someone who has ordered reels today and has checked with AD if his order is okay?

I haven't had any contact about my Iso's.....so presume all is OK.
Hate to say it mate but with everything that is going on at the moment it could be that they don't want to send anything out of the UK...
....I have decided against an order I was about to place with Monkey Climber for the exact same reason, i will just wait until things calm down.

Ordered a set of the Emblem 5000QDA, £160 for 3 delivered with spare spools. Madness.
Never seen these in real life, any one know if they will balance on 10ft scopes? thinking of using these for distance and SS2600 for close / floater.

Just ordered one of those as well....read in a few places they fit the V2 so will give it a try at that price

Doubt it they do it all the time, sell a lot of stock off cheap around this time of year. Last year I picked up a Trakker transformer chair for my mrs for £54 very cheap compared to what it is now everywhere else

I don't think there closing It's more pr to get everybody talking and looking at there site to take away people using other shops as the shops have had to close they are all fighting on line for customers so do something outrageous and they get the attention if you look it's only small numbers of top brands there's a lot of slow movers it's a loss leader and if you look at the interest on this site it works

I think that they are clearing old stock and odds and ends. My guess is that the Castizms were sold to make way for the new Whiskers, many of the top end rods seem to be for small numbers.
A good way of clearing old inventory, getting cash in before year end (although I think that their financial year end is the end of January), having customers talk about what a bargain price you offered, and a way to undermine competitors - who would buy a Castizm for more than £200 from a competitor this week now?
