Looking at purchasing a set of ATTs with reciever - have some lined up for 120 (2 alarms and reciever) think I'm getting a good deal. What's people's opinions on them?

Got a set and can't fault them..
Basic alarm which can't go wrong, good battery life on both the alarms and receiver

I think the Neville and ATTx receivers use different wavelengths so you can't mix and match, well that's what I've just been told when talking about refurbing my Nevs.

I've got Neville's, and got the att neville backs,
fit them yourselves, and I use a att receiver with them, and they work fine,
I think it's the Neville's with there own built in receiver that don't work with att's
Shame really,

Sold mine but kept a set back, bought the new delks so lucky for me got the two best alarms out there.
Never thought the atts would be as good as they are, mine have the 4 mag rollers that make a big difference, I would not have them without these rollers for the type of fishing I do.
The silent heads all add to the product, strange at fist but utterly brilliant.

I had a set did not get on with them cost me a fish on a rock hard French lake
so went back to the adjustable Delkims IMHO the best alarms on the planet will cover every fishing condition providing you have the brain cells to know how to adjust them LMFAO

Yes that's what I meant, hopefully getting mine recased atm and the choice was do I want them to work with an ATT receiver or the Neville one, they won't do both.

Love mine mate. I have the older ones which don't have the LED under the roller and am on the basic reviever but they have never let me down. Worked in all weather.
Only thing I did was swap the 2 magnet rollers for 4 magnets which changed the beep from 1cm of line movement to .5cm for better indication.

To be fair I used to have the older Delkim TXI's for a few years and never had any issues with them apart from the battery covers on the back never seemed to fit well.

Excellent alarms
I use the IW's and ATTx deluxe
Absolutely bomb proof, been out in rain, snow, iced up solid and always work
I don't think you can get better set up imho.

Yes, and if correct this would apply to a very lot of very expensive and highly rated fox, Neville alarms etc etc.

I've received them -they seem very good I bought second hand so going to renew them a bit which I find handy that gardener supply all the bits needed as well and don't cost an arm and a leg!
I used the atts for a while, until I nearly lost a fish. I was fishing zigs on a very tight line. My left hand rod gave me a bit of an indication and it turned out a fish had picked up the middle rod and kited that far left picking up the line without me knowing at all.

Admittedly I haven't had the latest offering from Delk, however I doubt for one minute it will be that different, and lets face it no matter how you dress it up the delk has the appearance that only a mother could love its so ugly and awkward looking.

and bought another set of the best alarms made Delkim vastly superior in every way the most versatile alarms provided your not thick that can be adjusted for every situation even the brightness of the leds super bright for sunshine and dimmer for nightime use

If you've set up your indicators correctly, that won't happen. Which indicators did you use and how did you set them up when your atts let you down with kiting fish?

Mine wasn't with atts, but I've been there and seen it when it's happened to their users. It's a fault with roller buzzers in general, not just atts. I had it happen with both swingers and hangers, always set with drop of a good few inches

Interesting , I've only ever had the problem of fish kiting with no registration on Delkim alarms , never had it happen on Fox Ntxr which is obviously a roller wheel alarm .
I've had it happen on delks where I've had to turn the sensitivity down a little because of wind/undertow and never had a bleep despite the bobbin falling a good few inches while kiting , this wouldn't have happened on a roller buzzer , and yes it was a fairly tight line and yes I had them turned down slightly to prevent false indication , this was just one of a few reasons I got rid of them .
The Ntxr in my opinion has a much more advanced sensitivity system , it's not just a progressive dial like on the older delks , we all have our favourite alarms though and stick with what we choose best I suppose

It can happen with a tight line.

Ive been using atts alarms for years now. Main two issues I've had is the roller wheel getting stuck, this almost cost me a fish once but luckily woke up to the clutch going into meltdown and landed the fish. There also can be a delay between the receiver and alarm, this makes twitchy bites and drop backs a pain in the middle of the night when you have only received one bleep.

The delay is caused by out of date firmware on the receiver. Gardner can sort this out, but you'll need to send it off to them. I think they do it at the shows where they have a stand too.

I think a lot of the problems With the kiting are the line slipping down the side of the roller and that is why people say they are not getting indications that is the only time I have ever not had an indication. I Will regularly fish at almost 90 degrees to my alarms however I fish with tightish lines So the tip bends round if I get a pull.
God forbid anyone actually makes a mistake like that or will admit it Or even notice that they have done it, because I know I have done it I make sure it doesn't happen on any roller wheel alarm Whether it be a fox a Neville or an att Or even my mates sonics

One night the tide was higher than I anticipated and when I went to check the rods they (and the reels/alarms) were all 6 inches underwater. I had to go get my waders on quickly so I could get close enough to the front bank sticks (storm poles) in order to get my gear back. One of many 'hairy' river incidents...
