Since the aqua camo f&L came out I wanted it but already had the green so wasn't going
to spend the extra money. A mate offered good money for my f&L and I seen cyprinus had
released a camo version so I sold mine and bought it hoping it would be of good quality as

Well to cut a long story short it is exactly the same brolly down to the hold-all bag and the pegs.
I bought the overwrap and even that came in the same trakker box that my aqua wrap was
delivered it. The only difference I can see is the storm poles.
I know we all pay a bit of carp tax but aqua charging over twice the price for the same product

I got the Brolly system and I can echo it being the same , the only difference is the badge on the Brolly and bag and don't have the small logo on the groundsheet to tell it is the front,the storm poles are exactly the same as Aqua

I think it's because you have the newer mk2 camo brolly. The system is the older style aqua mk1 ninth rib so slightly different.

I emailed cyprinus a while back to ask if they planned to release a green compact m3 and green mk2 fast and light. They replied saying there was no plans to do so at the moment. Shame, I prefer green over dpm.

I think there is a difference in quality . Don't get me wrong they are very good ,leagues ahead of many manufacturers but I think my mk1 is better made

I know someone who use to work as an agent for cypher, he told me that the trakker and aqua products were made in the same factories, the only difference was they paid more for the aqua products due to better
Quality controls. I can believe this as every trakker shelter I've owned has had a fault.

Browns angling in Leighton buzzard has a pretty big area for bivvys where they are permanently set up and you can compare like for like. They had a tempest air, an aqua compact m3 and an aqua mk2 fastlight all set up. A quick wander around them showed there's very little of any differences between the latest trakker quality and the latest aqua quality. If anything the tempest air material felt heavier weight than the mk2 fast light.

I watched two brand new cyprinus fast and light on ebay yesterday and they both sold for £70 so bit of a bargain.

I got a Camo fast and light for £123 last Wednesday , and well happy, look on the other dpm thread for a few reviews, and it has the space saver frame, so no head hitting the pole, the green fast and light doesn't have a space saver frame, that's the difference between the two, and the cost

The camo is the mk2 version. As well as the space saver frame it also has slightly larger sides which improves the cover a little.

The green ones have the space saver frame in the pictures only .... presumably using Aqua pictures with brand logos photoshopped.
I was OK with this as I knew (from the forum) that this was the case when I ordered.
I guess a braver man than I am could order it, then argue that the goods were not as promised and accept a replacement Camo with space saver frame.

On a serious note, i once bought a Trakker oval brolley many years back, the centre boss had an alloy cap, that was held on with a smally grub screw. They put a spare and an Allen key in with it.

Also got mine today - unfortunately there are several pin holes in the material by one of the struts so it will have to go back. Not obvious from the outside but clear from inside & would certainly let rain in.
The material does feel flimsy & I would be interested to see if it is the same as the Green Fast & Lights. Concerned the material could get easily damaged - it is certainly thinner than my early Aqua 60" brolly.

I was fishing with a mate of mine who owned the green mk1 aqua version for a couple of years. My cyprinus was set up. He confirmed it's identical.
If you bought the dpm mk2 version then the material is thinner, but again it's the same as the aqua camo. I've seen that in the flesh and it's definitely thinner on the mk2 than the mk1.
Bummer you've got a duff one. Mines been out in proper rain and it's been bone dry. I guess with any of this stuff they'll be odd ones that are iffy. Doesn't make it any less aggro for you though.

Crispy had the heritage 60 for a while. I saw that set up. The material was heavier weight than the fast and light. But the heritage wasn't fast or light so I guess the deliberately lighten it up for the smaller f&l.

Its much lighter. I cycled home from work carrying it in one hand, although I had taken the pegs & groundsheet out. If I get a chance later ill weigh just the brolly.

Those have always been called the mk2 rapide in green. I have bought both mk2 rapide (sent back due to issues) and a dpm. Cyprinus have confirmed there is no green brolly with space saver on the horizon.

The world's gone mad. I bought a Cyprinus fast n light a few weeks ago, suitably impressed. Went to buy the over wrap in dpm in time for Spring and just found someone on eBay selling the Aqua ones cheaper than the Cyprinus ones, £30 cheaper. £100 delivered. Happy days

Sorry to bring this up again but could someone explain. So the Rapide mk2 and the Helios are the same as each other, other than the fact the Rapide is camo and has the space saver thing? Are they the same shape?

Rapide is the same as the mk1 fast and light and is the one I posted pics of. It does not have the space saver frame.

Whether it's worth the extra is a personal choice. I only use mine for days only and I'm hobbit sized so no issue for me. I guess in the rapide, if the weather was dodgy and you had to pull it really low then the center boss might be an issue if you had a bedchair underneath and wanted to sit in the middle.

My Cyprinus mk2 turned up today and the threaded part at top of the storm polls pulls out and it's like there is a weak magnet to hold it, kind of like a quick release system. Is this normal? Definitely not very strong if you are in a head wind.

Its normal. You would probably also have the brolly pegged down, hence the storm pole is actually only for support.

Had mine a while and only the last few sessions I've used it. Brilliant brolly once you get used to it. Large Storm poles are a must at the front to have any real use out of it.
Centre end cap is crap cheap plastic. May try and source a spare just incase.

After a wrap for it ring Eric's angling I got mine for 120 posted.good brolly. But not as good as the jrc stealth m3.

I think that tackle discounts do the wraps for £80 delivered ? Could be wrong
I use my bivvy and wrap if weathers bad. This will just be for dry nights mainly

I took a punt and bought that fast & light wrap for my 60” MHR brolly and it fits almost perfectly

After 3 years of use. The plastic clips on the frame have over time slipped off and there are dozens of pin***** holes caused by the frame. Doesn't leak though but very bad design its happened every time one has come off. I have the full aqua wrap so no real issues but I wouldn't buy again.
