Had a weird occurrence last weekend; was looking down the barrel of a blank and had all but packed up when my LH margin rod burst into life. My rods are pretty much locked down but the violence of the take took the Delkim alarm head 'clean' off my Super Compact Adjustable pod and I was lucky not to lose it in the drink . .

Fish safely landed and on further inspection two things had 'occurred'. The bankstick head immediately below the goal post buzzbar had become separated from the carbon inner . . .the thread on the offending buzz bar alarm connector head had also been chewed such was the strength of the take.

Anyway - emailed Jag with photos on Monday . . received a gratis replacement carbon inner and head for the bankstick AND a replacement alarm connector head for the buzz bar this morning . .

Lightning speed, no quibble service . . . fantastic!

their customer service is usually top notch, I've had a couple of problems they've dealt with quickly and efficiently....however I did ask for a price of a spirit level on top of the self take stick as mine had cracked...I emailed twice and they said someone would email with a price which never happened...not like i was asking for a free replacement.

Agreed. They've got me out of some sh*t over the last few years. Top firm.

they should be - cos they are very expensive !

Do you rate those self take sticks in terms of 'faff' . . .? Are they easier than buggering around with a mini tripod etc?

Definitely not. Tripod much better and more versatile. Not even taking into account gravelly swims etc

I use mine quite a bit tbh, same settings on the stick everytime,same distance from the stick to my mat and I know pretty much the picture will be in fame

Their service is amazing.

I posted on here about me doing something utterly stupid and losing a load of JAG gear in a lake and they sent me a few bits to replace it. It was completely my fault and had nothing to do with any issues with their products.

Great move as I am now totally loyal to them 👍

I use mine a fair bit, good bit of kit and easier than carrying a tripod. Am I right in thinking the flat piece below the spirit level part is suppose to screw off? I've never got mine to budge

seems jag do look in the page, they picked up that they'd missed my email, harry emailed and asked for my address and got a spirit level out in the post to me f.o.c so totally redeemed themselves

I've seen the state of some of the stuff that gets sent back to them for repair (yes I am talking about you Wallsy). I think a lot of other companies would tell the abuser to Foxtrot Oscar. It's actually amazing that given the state of a lot of it that it looks as good as it does when it's returned to the ham fisted owner. You've gotta wonder what on earth they were doing with it.

I think most people except its worth paying a bit more at the start for quality UK tackle that's backed up with quality UK after sales.
