Looking for a change of bait as we head towards the back end of summer.
At the moment I'm thinking ABS Baits Maple Cream Nut. Anyone used these?
Also need a matching Wafter, Pop Up.
Any recommendations?

Tricknut all the way, never used another boilie like it. Smell, texture, taste and it catches as well 😄

Tricknut is good as advised by the other 2 guys. But also consider Baitworks Creamino, it's not exactly a nut based bait, but will catch all year round. I've not bought any of the boilies as yet because I'm waiting for some freezer space in the garage, but have caught well on the Creamino wafters. Also available as shelfies.

Won't go wrong on mc nut mate, it's a pukka bait, catches everywhere. Been about for years, Geoff knows his stuff big time. They do wafters, pop ups and custom sizes and mixes. Majority of my fishing pals use it and done really well and caught fish up to 93lb... Also heard a thing on a podcast that milk proteins and nut based baits select bigger fish, now I don't know if that's true but it was from a well known reputable bait main. Currently sat on the banks of lac du der, 4 nights in and we've had 8 fish between 2 of us on it... first bite on here was a 53lb common 👌🏻👌🏻

Oxford Carp baits Mc nut (shelf life or frozen) an outstanding fish catcher in my experience, comes with excellent pop ups that are very bouyant and any other items you may need wafters, paste etc.
Think it's the same as the ABS bait, just made in house, so if you live local and can pick it up near Linear fisheries, Joe will sort you out 👍

I've seen 'em and impressed. They have decent bits of Nut in that I want, not just powder like most.
Problem is they ain't Shelflife.

And once upon a time, you hadn't heard of Mainline, sticky, Nash, Premier, nutrabaits, etc,etc,etc.

spose its abit cheeky/bias of me suggesting a bait i sell myself, but i can honestly recommend it due to the fact that i roll the bait myself and know the intricacies of the bait for a fact and how its been dealt with e.g cooking temps/times, ratios, freshness ect. also the fact that ive used it for years and not forgetting feedback i get. But maybe above all, its caught alot of carp so how could i not recommend it!
but i wont beat around the bush im trying to build a customer base aswell, but it would be silly of me to come on here and recommend a bait that i sell knowing its poor/mediocre. especially when most guys on this forum know there onions.
But 2 other nut baits that i personally would use if i had to
- poacher baits (great quality, unique to them)
- oxford carp baits (just because it works and catches loads)
and i respect and trust the guys that run the companies aswell
. i know poacherbaits are rolled by hand still, wich i rate and respect because its hard graft.
ino joe at OCB used to hand roll but not sure if he still dose now, but trust him regardless.
but they're are so many other nut baits on the market that are probably great and rolled by good trustworthy companies so its alot on your personal choice and judgement tbh
but some are better than others.
when choosing a bait ask yourself are they made with,care, precision, passion by people you trust or are they just well marketed and mass produced in a factory buy people who maybe dont care as much and would be willing to sacrifice quality ingredients from lesser ones for profit margins.
theese are just some of the questions you should ask yourself before making a decision.

Hamdcrafts Tricknut or trent baits active nut. Won't go wrong with either, not just nut flavoured baits they actually contain nuts

That seems an unfairly harsh way to look at it?
The samples are free, I imagine take just as much time to process as an actual order and the company will do it for nothing... all you're paying for is a bunch of people to put them in your hands 24hrs after asking.

There would have been 15mm samples of herb and probably 20mm Nutriplex in the sample pack too

Why would size matter in a sample, wouldn't it be more to determine if you liked the look of the bait itself? I can confirm their 12 mm baits are 12mm and their 15mm baits are 15mm

Sorry, only just seen this...
The small size is no good for me due to the massive amount of Silvers.
I was hoping to get samples of the bigger sizes - 15 mm and 20mm.
Wasn't trying to be awkward or anything... don't think that's too much to ask to add 2 or 3 (literally) of the other sizes?

Of course it matters with the hooks and rigs being used. I'm assuming the pop ups and wafters are the same size so it's relative. Yikes.

What's wrong with bits of Nut in your Boilie? You prefer Powder in your Bait?
Fortunately didn't see that (to an extent) with the Tricknut samples I got.

Edit, I also don't think a 1 size sample is representative of a range within a flavour, it simply hopefully proves the 12mm size is o.k.
I guess we need to be a tad more specific when ordering a sample and not make any assumptions. Personally I'd have another pack in the post to you, but thats me.

Just received my 2 tubs of pop ups today and the sample pack thrown in was tricknut in various sizes and shelf life. Herb in 20mm freezer. Nutriplex in 15mm freezer and k20 in 12 or 15mm (can't remember) in freezer. That's a fantastic array of a sample in my eyes! Really well packaged and labelled as well
