Do you add any weights to your combi multi rigs? Pecky doesn't but Mark Bryant and Mike Holly do.

I have tried both ways and while I like the theory of the added weight (tungsten bead or putty) on the knot that forms the loop dropping the hook down, I can't really say I noticed much difference. Is it worth it or a waste of time?

I add putty to the knot. Not sure if it helps, but I don’t feel that it hinders. I primarily add it to neaten up the knot, but also feel it could help pull the hook down when picked up. Could also try a shot on the hook maybe, but I feel that just adds extra clutter. I catch well enough with just the putty, so always add it.

I find with the putty on the knot that the hook hangs down in a better position than with out it ! Try picking up the rig from the micro swivel and see how the hook hangs with and without the putty !

I use the reverse of this. Stiff hook section. Putty on the knot for sure.

Olivettes are great for weights

I’ll check in my tackle box in the morning but have a feeling there 0.6g.

I normally tie a small overhand knot behind it too keep it in place

Nash did some tungsten swivel beads which were great for this... used the small ones and trimmed down the barrel section from memory. I still have a few in my box.

Esp have the balance beads that would work i think they come in 0.3 & 0.6 grams.
