Thank you everyone for your advice ended up using compressed air in a can to freeze the joint and wiggled it like the video and it walked itself out never been so relieved. Now my next question is how do I stop that happening again? I saw a suggestion of putting candle wax on the male part.

I just tried that thank you. I put it in a vise and wrapped a length of rubber around it and the blank was twisting the joint wasnt moving. I literally have no idea how it is this tight makes no sense.

I have a freespirit his rod that I cannot get apart. It happened at the lake I put it together noticed the two sections didnt line up tried to move them and wouldnt budge. At the lake I tried put the rod under the water for 30 minutes, put a bag of ice on the joint. Since I got home tried a heat gun, ice on the male side, used rubber gloves for grip me on one side wife on the other side, gently tapping the joint with a deadblow hammer and even tried taping a wooden block to one side and tapping it with the hammer. I am all out of ideas didnt know if anyone else had any suggestions.

I have no experience with the esp rods but I have a pair of freespirit HI S Ive ER and find them great they have plenty of power in the butt. They are surprisingly nice for playing fish too and casting light leads but have plenty left if you need to cast a solid bag or fishing at distance. In my opinion if you're going to spend the money on a set of HI S the IVE ER is great it does everything unless you are looking for extreme range.

Got a chance to use the solar titanium today I used them with one of my elstow bobbins and a spare older solar bobbin id had for years they worked great i could move a 4oz gripper lead way before i could fully tension them. I did order the solar titanium indicator heads with them but found they was either too tight or loose and then found they damaged the line when I was trying to set them up which was disappointing. I have a friend coming over in a few months I might order some defiant bobbins to use with them and have him bring them over does anyone know if they would be compatible?
