I have the 100T and use a Solar SP Ctech with no issues.

Delkim worth a mention - I had the Delkim converted Optonics in the 80's and they was a complete revelation after using Herons for years.

I reckon the best way is to buy proper hardened hookbaits that have been made that way with the addition of suitable ingredients.

Drying, salting etc will work in making regular baits harder but the moment you chuck them in the lake they will soon revert back to what they started as.

Has anybody tried Daiwa Tournament ST Monofil? I used it in lower strains a few years ago for feeder fishing and remember it being pretty good.

I use one of these, about a fiver from Temu and has proved excellent.

This happens a lot with pole sections, this method always works.

Sadly I had that exact same experience with 15lb GTHD, this was a few years ago and I have since heard several times that same story from others about the 15lb.

However, I want to use an 18lb line this year and have been told the 18lb GTHD seems ok - it's either that I'll go for or 18lb Kaizen.

Quote: The look remarkably like the old J Precision jobbies, before they released the Advanced range. Wonder if they've done a deal with JP?

Quite possibly as they sell some with the blobs on.

I thought I would give the Bank Tackle hand sharpened hooks a try and I'm glad I did, nicely sharpened but not stupidly so with too much material removed, in fact I thought they were comparable to JH hooks in that respect. I'm a long time user of Trig hammers both regular and the XT version.

I've had loads of good fish on ABS Hydra K but since it's launch I have gone over to K2 and I think it's even better.
