Okay, so I’ve always been a single stick man. But I’m away at the moment fishing a lake with really hard banks. A pal of mine persuaded me that for this trip I should get a pair of buzz bars to reduce the number of sticks I’d have to get into the ground.
I use ESP single sticks so went out and bought two of their buzz bars plus two stabilisers.
I’m bankside, managed to get them into okay and with the stabilisers there is absolutely no rotation of the front or back banksticks. But… there is massive rotation on a bite (or even just tensioning the line in my line clip) between the buzz bar and the bankstick itself. Basically it starts to unscrew (clearly this is just on one side—a take from the rod on the other side is essentially screwing the bar on more). I almost need a screw and thread that fit less well (or are rusty!) to prevent this happening.
Do any of you buzz bar enthusiasts have a way of preventing this?

I only fish two rods I prefer single sticks if only to separate l/h from r/h rod.
Can't stand pods, 3 rod bars on a single stick?....Aghh no!
But yeah, the club water has built up swims of compacted gravel so I dug out my old Solar 2 rod bars, sticks and stabilizers to save my palms
The pozi-lok tops saved some twisting but being barely 10 incjhes apart the first swan wiped out both rods
And a few hours later a mid-20 common lost it's **** in the margin and wiped out the l/h rod and spun the bars. wouldn't of happened If I had single sticks either side

I use a single stick at the front and a goalpost setup at the back with lockdown butt rests. If the back bar can’t twist the whole lot is going nowhere.
plumbers ptfe tape would work I used to have to do that on my biotech viper threads to stop them spinning.
You’d have thought after nearly 50 years one of the companies would be able to make a set of buzz bars that don’t spin….
Easy fix to turn 2 or 4 flats onto the thread of the buzz bar and put a locking grub screw into the head of the stick.

My Jag bars / sticks never come undone. You need to find a way to create a bit more "bite".......what about a bit of matchstick in the thread? No one will know

I milled two flats on my bankstick tops more than 20 years ago they were originally 16mm outer 1.5mm off two opposite flats and a 13mm spanner fits perfectly. i have since repeated this with other sticks
I just hold the buzzbar and lock the bankstick against it with the spanner as long as the inner part of stick can be locked sufficiently it doesn't twist when also used with a stabilizer

I use esp bars and sticks and never had a problem, the bite is sufficient that I have to twist quite hard to separate them.
However, if I was in your boat, I'd get one of the rubber washers we use on bite alarm threads to lock them down. Should work a treat.

If you prefer single sticks, but the banks are rock hard, you simply can't beat the Defiant Fantail.

What about some rubber O rings like what you use for aligning your alarms on your buzzer bars. I had the same issue. Gave the bars a bit more grip on the sticks.

Thanks to everyone who replied. I’m going to try O-rings first, then leather if they don’t work. But I’m back to single sticks unless absolutely necessary to use these buzz bars again. Stupid design!
