Had a quick search and couldn’t find anything more recent than 2023 on the subject. What are the better makes out there now, probably a few newer ones as it’s become more popular. I’ve tried the TA version but it seems to fray a bit after use and go a little odd.

I use the fox submerge . It’s pretty thick but I use the 50lb version. Coupled with the fox easy splice I really rate it

Second the fox submerge. Had some of the leaders for well over 8yrs now and still go dark enough once in the water and have been through rivers, weedy pits and all manner of snags. None of them show any signs of significant damage at all. Not to the point I have binned one. Fox easy splice really does help too.

Another vote for the Submerge

I really like the Gardner Camflex Leadfree Leader - the most supple I have been able to find.

For me I'd say ether the Nash or ESP versions. I'd go with the higher breaking strain where possible if your using for helicopter or Chod rigs. As I find the top beads seem to slip easier on the lower breaking strains. It does come in thinner than the old leadcore.

I like the fox one in 40lb have found it very good and reliable

another one to consider which is still a leadfree leader of type is the katran chaincore although it has an inner it is very supple and a lot more more supple than the fox version of it it, and obviously leadcore leaders

Been using Nash Cling On in 40lb . . .nice and supple / easy to splice

Used the Nash cling-on for years. Tried the Solar Contour when it first came out and binned it after it broke the 3rd splicing needle in 5 leaders! Used the Nash one ever since as it’s so easy to splice. There may well be better ones out there now, but I’m happy using it all the time it’s available.
