I've gone through a few that have said they can take 50mm eyes but to me so far none of them have all being quite tight. I keep going back to reel wraps and tip tops but had enough of line snagging so do need a proppa rod bag
The ones I've tried are
Fox camolite trisleeve - couldn't zip up when full
Sonik Bank-tek 3 rod - couldn't zip up when full
CA trident - zipped up but was tight and the rest was really saggy.
Are the carplife or Korda ones any better to hold 3 or 5 50mm eyes with just enough space and any others worth taking a look at?

I have the Korda Compac 3 rod in 13ft which takes my 12ft 6 rods with 50mm rings with no problem. I think I could have been OK with the 12ft version. The butt rings are the tightest point and not masses of room but perfectly fine and not jamming them in there. I sometimes have left 50mm neoprene but ring protectors on them and they still fit.
I have my eye on the 5 rod version at some point and I'm not sure which length to go for on that when the time comes.

I bought a korda rod bag and thought it was to tight so took it back and ended up getting the cotswold aquarius trident which i think has more room than the korda.
So if you think the ca tridents are tight you may find the korda one even tighter.
The speero 5 rod bag is bigger again and plenty of room for 5 50mm rods with big pits but i think you will find that one to big and baggy

Interesting that you struggled with the sonik bag, I have that and use Free Spirit CTX rods with 50mm rings. Not loads of room clearly but easy enough to do up. I guess dictated by position on your rods specifically when putting in.
The new Korda bag with separate zips for each rod could be a good option.

Did think that and how raised the eyes are off the blank was the other thing I thought. Even though I don't think the eyes on my rods should be much different to others.
the Sonik was probably the tightest fit, I ended up zipping both up to above and below the eye and left a small area unzipped to it didn't squash them too hard together.

I use the Korda 12ft 5 rod and it fits my 50mm butts absolutely fine.

I agree. I've got the Sonik bag with 50mm butt rings and I find it gives good protection with ample room and not feeling too tight. I also have the Cult Tackle bag and this has more room but is less padded and a bit baggy, so I much prefer the Sonik. Both are far better than previous Trakker I've had which I felt was not fit for purpose

I have two Sonik Bank tek rod bags 12ft and 13ft
Both sets of rods have 50mm but rings and go in no problems

Surprised you think the Cotswold Trident is tight, I've got 13' Rods with 50mm AT Ti Guides on them and they've got bags of room.
The Korda one I tried felt like a disaster waiting to happen, either broken rings or a popped Zip, don't know what was going on when they designed that.

I got the trakker NXG holdall plenty of room.

Have a look at the thinking anglers sleeves and quiver. Really good compomise between protection and speed. Benefits of your tip tops and reel covers, but with the full sleeve element protecting the line from snagging

I got the Sonik out and tried it again and it's definitely tight but I think it's because the rods angle out slightly because of the way the reels sit.
So maybe it's the size of my pits (Tournie 5000's) but I'd be surprised if it was
