nice! We were there the same week last year, some of the fish started to spawn towards the end of the week as it was crazy hot. But enjoyed it nonetheless and I think a great set up for 4.

We went to Redwood Lake last year and really enjoyed it. Seems to fit your requirements.

Nash Hide XL is a decent price these days, good size. I'm 6'1" and find height good.
Or Sonik AXS as someone else has suggested, underrated IMO.

Doesn't the Avid EXO range have one with an inner capsule?

I'd assume the Solar brolly is the smallest of those 3. I have both the Hide and AXS bivvies.
Both great and similar size. Pack down wise the AXS is longer and thinner, Hide shorter and a bit wider. Very similar bivvies and both would work great.

I have a midweek ticket so can't comment specifically on weekends. But I'm sure not too different. There's been a couple of times I've turned up midweek and 7 people fishing but generally it's 4-5 max. Then post spawning and into the summer it gets quieter of course, even had the lake to myself before. Only a few people fish it regularly over the winter.
Really nice lake to spend time on.

agree on this, would have liked a clear door. Other than that I think it's a great bivvy.
Good value especially when you compare to recent bivvy releases that are closer to £1k.
Have mine a year, my brother has one also and has had it 3 years. Use mine for an overnighter every week and not a single issue. very fast to put up/down. Only needs 3 pegs unless a strong wind. I bought a Korda bivvy wrap as found the bag a bit tight.

interesting, I do an overnighter a week so hard to judge a little how a lake is fishing and don't really have that opportunity to chase fish around with singles.
But my syndicate at least wasn't doing much in March that I know of, we had that hot weather at easter though didn't we which I'm sure had an impact suddenly waking everything up.

Everyone always refers to May as we lead up to spawning as clubbing season, easiest time to catch a carp apparently. Anyone else finding it really hard at the moment? I'm fully on the struggle bus, caught a few tench but that's about it for Spring so far.
