It's rather worrying how easily fake news of all sorts is so readily accepted these days.

Funny, only the other day the Mrs told me a lot of the images are AI. You'll have to excuse me for posting it then, 1 of the few times I went on FB. At least I didn't post a link, I believe money is earned from such things.

It's a sad state of affairs when before posting you have to think a negative and research if actually true.

No worries, it's actually quite a good pic, despite being AI.

It's nuts what AI can do now...really unbelievable.

Someone at work created a video the other day that was about 10mins long. The video was a demonstration of the sort of things AI can do and they record themselves doing/creating the video that we were watching and showed what websites they used for each section/challenge

They used AI to:
Create song lyrics
Write a tune/song in different styles and use those lyrics
Create videos from simple text prompts...and they included lots of the people from work in the video just from taking a photo of their face off of LinkedIn.

AI is becoming scary already
To think it took a computer the size of a factory called Ernie to pick the premium bond numbers years ago.

I've caught 50lb congers, that's not 18lb. Must be a mock up. Question is why bother?

Because it just makes it easier to fool people about anything. Bombard social media feeds with real and fake streams of info, regardless of the subject, and - as proven conclusively in this thread - people will “get on board”. This also works with politics, war, etc etc.

AI should be about solving problems, making mundane tasks easier, not for “content” that a creative human being should be making, be that art, music, whatever.
