Looking at buying my first fishing kettle and looking for advice, recommendations etc.

I would like it to hold about 1 ltr of water. Not a whistling one or one where you have to fill through the spout.

Decent handle that won't burn my hands when hot and don't want to pay silly money for something thats just to make a cuppa and maybe straighten the odd rig out.

Got one of the Bulin T4 stoves to put it on.

What should I buy?

I'd say one of them...... But the ones with the added heat exchanger fins on the bottom of them. I feel they do reduce boil time a bit, saves a little gas I guess.

I got a cook set off Amazon a couple of years ago for about £20. Two pans with a lid, a kettle, a spatula and a ladle/spoon. Does me fine. I know you said you only wanted a kettle but you might want to get extravagant and warm up some beans or soup.

Forget kettles.

Get a Jetboil.

Depending on the model you get, they'll boil up to a litre of water in 2 minutes. They use less gas too. No brainer.

Just get a Trangia 27 kettle ,and get some provenance on it,...mine is years old ...

jesus One litre thats a lot of water

I would definitely buy a Heat Exchanger Kettle as they are about 30% more efficient so will boil quicker and save a bit of gas personally I only boil what I need normally just over 1 mug full so enough for my tea with a splash left for a quick rinse and my small fire maple kettle is enough for 2 mugs and fits inside my pan
